RE: Anyone loading a small car in their haulers???

I transported a 'Yota van (aka The Afganivan) in my FSW. As long as an axle isn't over the ramp rating, it shouldn't be a problem from that standpoint.
My issue was the ramp angle, which was pretty steep since I had the Spring-over option. To get the van in the trailer in the rain required about a 50' running start to basically launch it into the trailer, then hit the brakes before crashing into the kitchen.

To help with loading, we run a chain between the front D-rings and through this winch:

works great, and takes the excitement out of loading.

RE: Top Gear TV Show.......

The US Top Gear is not as good as the British Top Gear....but both are miles ahead of The Car Show .
I think The Car Show is far more amusing, to be honest.
The BBC one is much funnier than either of these though.
The truck shootout wasn't even amusing though. Only a couple of chuckles out of that whole show.

RE: Diesel vs gas......................

I had a Dodge Cummins for five years. Pulled anything/everything I wanted to.
Now I have a 01 Silverado 5.3 gasser and I've had to sell my larger trailer because it could not pull it. I miss the Cummins power, reliability and mileage every day. The worst mileage I ever got while towing with the cummins is equal to the best mileage I can get towing with this gasser.
I had to sell the nice truck due to financial reasons, and I like this Silverado overall. It's a comfortable ride and much cheaper to buy/pay for, but I'm counting the days until I can sell it/trade it on another Cummins powered pickup.
Used 3rd gen CTD Dodges are in the teens with less than 100k on them now. Just saying... :D
