RE: Headlight restoration project

Or just use toothpaste and a buffer.Clearly (no pun intended) you've never seen crazed headlamps. No toothpaste currently made will come close to touching it. Maybe only as a final clear buff

RE: Marcus and his involvement here.

I for one am very happy to have someone in the position that Marcus is in take the time to come here and listen to our concerns and or our praise. I am sure that checking here takes time away from other duties in his day. Problem is, if customer service department was working properly and staffed correctly, there would not be a need for this forum. MarkI defy you to list ONE other company with the size and diversity of CW and its parent company that does not have a dissatisfied customer in one way or another? I further defy you to find said companies CEO as accessible as this one is?

RE: Can I cut a hole in the side of a Journey

Have you looked at the Winnie shop drawings? They might not be dead accurate, but at least you have an idea of whats there.

RE: Marcus and his involvement here.

(as I'm sure he'll confirm) He took a LOT of heat from the forum when he 1st made his presence known: Some justified, most not... there are compulsive whiners everywhere. Since then I think even the problem children have somewhat settled down to realize he's here and doing a lot of good for the few isolated cases that need a little nudge from the top floor. I wish Alan Mulally (Ford) would read a few of his forums once in awhile.. :(

RE: Interstate Battery Absorption Voltage

Been wondering the same thing. That spec is ~.2v from their EQ charge, and it didn't make sense to me. I have the Magnum set to the Interstate spec., but in reality, I NEVER finish a charge with it since the solar is on the roof.

RE: Honda eu2000i off Craigslist!

Sifter.... And you can sleep at night knowing you TOOK ADVANTAGE OF AN OLD MAN who didn't know the value of his equipment? It's a shame.... Sorry but this old man just had to vent. It's a cruel world out there for us old farts but not this one. I enjoy messing with reticules "offers".. Don't give me any crxp about, he got what he wanted, he was satisfieded. Bottom line, he was taken advantage of.... I hope a number of folks can read this before it gets zapped but I think it's informative to our senior members who I think are a majority in our forums to check the value of their equipmentent sales. I can imagine how it would be easy to just "dump it" if we should lose our travel companion but why let some stranger reap on our loss? .... What else can I say.. ??? IMO.. What a bunch of BS !!!!! I thank you for such an in depth intellectual response to the subject and may we come in contact for a Craiglist ad. I truthfully enjoy your kind of banter. :BReally? And you think that because it's not what you would have taken for it, that the OP is "taking advantage" ? That was between the seller and the OP, and you have no clue whatsoever the intentions of either. I'm glad we're all being watched and judged by others who profess to know better..

RE: Led Lights under rig

Geeeeze.... Here's a guy just wanting to tell everyone what he's done with his RV's lighting, and you'all start whining about him driving down the road with them on (really? do you guys drive with your porch and streetside lights on?), and thinking he's running a disco at the campground. There are pages of threads and discussion about under chassis lighting on this forum, why is the OP the Pinata for his project? Chill... OP: Keep em' comming.. the rest of the folks here really aren't this fickle.

RE: almost had early 4th of july breaker box system

Nothing personal at all, but from your description of the problem it sounds like you are not at all familiar or comfortable around electrons. That's OK, so find someone who is before sparks turn into fire.

RE: What did you do to your Class A MH today???

Several weeks ago I finally got LEDZILLA installed, and it works great. Today I installed an Amber LED strip in the outside entertainment bay that could never be seen at night. It's tied to the same dimmer as LEDZILLA. Problem solved :) http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r192/SCVJeff/32040f85.jpg height=300 width=300

RE: Digital TV Reception

Did you push the (red) button to activate the antennea? I think most trailers have some type of on off switch.............Check your owners manual. Also many areas still are broadcasting in analog so you need a converter....That's upside down. There are small pockets of analog programming from LP transmitters, and they too are converting to digital. All TV's have analog receivers, you need a converter to receive digital IF your TV doesn't have an ATSC decoder built into it.

RE: Headlight restoration- Great results

The 3M kit is $10+ cheaper. Don't know whats in the Meguires, but the 3M works perfectly. And NO, a single 2000 grit sandpaper wont do the same thing. You can't clear polish a lens with sandpaper, wet or dry. Nor will just rubbing compound remove the layers of dried and crystallized plastic. THAT needs a real abrasive.

RE: poorly done ad by Newell

I'd be buying the coach, not the background. Just because they might be able to afford a $50k+RT for a few pix doesn't mean it's the correct financial decision.

RE: Digital TV - VHF vs. UHF

Wingman will not affect VHF so as you'd notice. Though the idea was to get rid of VHF tv, and move everyone to UHF, And then REsell the VHF spectrum, and bids were indeed taken on that.. I have seen Digital Stations as low as Channel 5 on the frequency chart Chan 5 is not only VHF, but it's VHF-Low band (2-6) Oh well, The best layed plans of Men and Government Agencies I guess. There are a few even lower than that.... Go figure. Since there is another repacking coming I suspect the stragglers will be pulled into the frey

RE: Digital TV - VHF vs. UHF

The Wingman has absolutely no effect whatsoever on VHF channels. what you don't have now, you didn't have before..
