RE: Feedback from current Dutchman Voltage RV owners

We have the 3950 and so far its just super. There is one defect I have found, with the slides in, there is a very large gap open to the outside at both bottom corners. I found this by accident, just happened to go into the trailer late afternoon and the sun was at the perfect angle. One of the dog's toys had fallen off the stair into the corner and I reached to get it and found the sunlight glaring in the lower front corner, checked the rear and same. Perhaps there is a rubber bulb/gasket or something that the room should come up against when in the closed position. I have made the dealer aware of this but haven't had a chance to take it in for a look. This is not just a small opening, I am able to get two fingers completely outside! Would like to hear from other 3950 owners if they have the same situation.

RE: Upgrading 16" China BOMBS to 17.5" Wheels/tires???

Hey Cptjohn, looks like you're getting a nice rig! The 17.5's are going to make your new rig really tall! We picked our new 3950 up yesterday, replaced the China Bombs with BFG LT's and it has tons of ground clearance. We got the Trail Air pin box as well, we've used Demco boxes on all our previous rigs with the exception on the Cyclone we just traded. I only have 60 miles on the hitch, it works pretty much like the Demco.
See ya down the road!

RE: Other uses for the Toyhauler

They make great moving vans! Moved our son's furniture twice already! And like someone else wrote, we had a place to stay while doing it. Great Equipment!

RE: Anyone fit a RZR4 in a 10' Garage model TH?

I don't think you can make it fit. Our '04 hauler had a 10' garage and we had to take the spare tire off our '08 RZR to make it fit.
Good luck!

RE: epic able to still be ordered?

Aaron, if you're serious about the Epic I bet you could still have one built. We ordered ours 30 Dec 2011, well after the supposed cut off date!
Good luck!

RE: Tires

Herb, a good set of made in America Michelin LT's are far cheaper than damage repair from one of those China Bombs!

RE: Heartland Ramp Hinges

Check Lippert Components, I think they make the ramp doors for Heartland.

RE: Anybody Know Anything About The Play-Mor Wild-Card

Our first toyhauler was an '04 Play-mor 32' 5th wheel, built like a tank! The reason we traded it off was for a larger garage, it only had a 10 footer.
I always found the factory to be very helpful and replacement parts very reasonably priced.

RE: hooking up a satelite dish

Check for spliters behind your cable connection, DTV signal will not pass thru these guys, had the same problem with our '09 Cyclone!

RE: Taylor Park next week

We were camped North of Taylor Park last week in the rain, Thursday was the only sunny day of riding we had. Hancock and Cumberland were open, Tin Cup became passable midweek and some folks we talked to made it up American Flag on Thursday by shoveling snow, should be ok by now. River was way to high for fishing! All in all we had a good week, all be it WET, had a blowout on one of the China Bombs coming down East side of cottonwood on Friday morning. Really tough coming home to this heat!

RE: Ramp door Failure

This problem with the rear door/ramp is discussed at length in the Heartland Owners Forum/Cyclone/Exteriors. Seems the door is not designed to swing past about 30 degrees, the springs bottom out and all pressure is applied to the door itself. Check out the construction of the door, 1/4" Plywood and styrofoam! some folks believe they are ok loading Jeeps and small cars with this door!

RE: Looking for Info on Taylor Park, CO

Lance, it you want to see some great photo's of the trails in this area go to my post in the rzrforum.net Search redwing and look toward the bottom of the list. I just checked them out for the first time in a couple of years and I'm rearing to go already! Gotta change the drive belt on the RZR in the next couple of weeks, burned the one thats on now last June trying to get over Tin Cup Pass, never made it, to much snow and Ice, had to go back in September, got over just fine but some really cold nights up in the river valley, down to 11 one night!

RE: Looking for Info on Taylor Park, CO

What a great place! We will be there the second week of July. Just got cell service in the area last year, sure beats having to wait in line for the pay phone at the store! Water is free at the trading post, the dump station is up the road toward Tin Cup a couple of miles. The farther North you go up the river the fewer campers you will encounter, some really great spots up there but the granet sand gets really washboardy so figure on taking about two-three hours to pull your rig up past the Ranger Station at Dorchester. We have found using a macerator pump solves the dumping problem, don't have to move the rig. Go to Wal Mart and get 3-4 5 gal containers for the waste and haul it to the dump station in your TV.
Have a safe trip.
Save us a spot!
