RE: Question for 2011 Dodge 6.7L owners

An Edge Insight can tell you when a regen is in progress. Note the Edge Insight IS NOT a tuner/power adder, just a monitor.
I have one and never seen the R in the display

RE: Question for 2011 Dodge 6.7L owners

Don't change the thermostat. You will likely see more regen action with a cooler T-stat.
Speaking of . . . I don't think I've ever seen mine go into regen mode in the 13k I have on it. What's up with that ???

RE: Limp Mode on LMM Duramax

Don't want to sound stupid but what is "limp" mode. We have a 39' cardinal & a 2011 Chevrolet.
With the duramax . Have 24,500 in a year no. Problems other than a fan clutch & a water pump
At 2500 mi.
Nothing you need to worry about.
It is a programmed reduction in power and performance once the engine software decide that certain parameters have been exceeded.
Example, if your rad burst and all the coolant leaked out, you can still run the engine at a very much reduced level of power to prevent overheating.
It "limps".
WHAT . . . I would NEVER run any vehicle with a burst radiator an all the coolant leaked out. I don't think any manufacturer would recommend that. You try it with your vehicle and let me know the outcome.

RE: Superhitch Question

I have a factory 2" hitch on top. I also have a CURT class V on the truck it is designed to mount right below the factory 2" hitch which it does. I can use either a 2" receiver or a 2 1/2 inch receiver. That is why the question about the extension bar. What is best?

Superhitch Question

I have a 2 1/2 inch and a 2 inch receiver on my truck. The 2 1/2 inch is below the 2 inch. Would you use the torklift extension with the double 2 inch bars and use a adapter in the 2 1/2 inch receiver or would you use the 2 1/2 inch single bar that is sold for trailers.

Dumb Question . . . Stableloads

Are the stable loads that everyone is using the bigger size pads that hit the overload spring on top sooner. They also have another one that can be engaged and disengaged with a ratchet. I just purchased the ones that are the bigger spring bumper. Is this correct???
On a 2012 RAM.
Thanks,

RE: Limp Mode on LMM Duramax

Welcome to the Forum...your first post.
Please don't take this the wrong way, but I have always felt that if you "chip," you will eventually pay the price.
My advice, pull the chip.
Others, of course, have a different opinion.

This thread is not about how good or bad a 6.0 is. It is about how a guy likes towing with his.

RE: Arctic Fox Batteries

Hey wait just a second...my Interstates are wired together and I know how it works..how can two batts work independently of each other? If you know they are not..how do you know this? MMMM..well first do you know how to do it? You say you have solar too? There is a very specific way this all works. I have batts that are 6 years old and still run at 80 to 90 percent of their original power....I just had the Interstate people test them. If you really have an issue with how it is put together you might want to ask an Arctic Fox dealer. I'm not sure you know the wiring pattern of how dual batts work. Do you have the solar panel indicator next to your generator and tank level indicator? Does your panel show a yellow charge light during a sunny day? Just trying to say if it is not right...hooked up that is, well I can help you figure this out. I can show you the exact way it should be...let me know...Kev
Got it all figured out no biggie. I hooked them together yesterday. Now thinking of come AGM's for it.

RE: first tow - 2005 F250 Powerstroke impressions

Congrats on the new to you 6.0.
There are a ton of youtube videos by a youtube user named "powerstrokehelp". They can help you learn a lot about the 6.0 and what can go wrong and how to prevent/deal with it.
Seems there was an issue with the coolant cap on the 6.0 and replacing it with one from AutoZone that can help save your 6.0.
Good Luck and again, congrats on the new truck.
Thanks!
Jeremiah
EGT delete and head studs, significant issues, with the 6.0, all be it lesser in the 2005 vs. the earlier years. May want to ask owner if they had any of that work done.
It's egr delete

RE: air bag question????

There is a fairly big dimple on the airbag and a hole in the bracket that the dimple is supposed to fit into. I would take it off and check it out.

Is the bag sitting correctly on the mount. There is that bump that the bracket needs to be positioned on.

RE: AF 1150 Air conditioner question

Mine was the same way. I went out and replaced the control module and thermostat
You cvan then run the AC and it will completely shut off when temp is reached
This is right from Coleman. Cost around $120 including shipping to do this
You would need to install a control box (part number 8330-752) into the air conditioner to communicate with the thermostat (part number 7330G3351. You will need to run four wires to the control box from the thermostat, and supply the thermostat with 12 volts DC from the coach.

RE: Arctic Fox Batteries

Were they both connected to cables in some way or was one just sitting there unused? In order to get full benefit they have to be connected together.
Both were connected. One is a BIG set of cables like #0 jumper cables which look like they run back to the generator.
Other battery was connected to what appears to be a #6 to house power with the wire from solar. Only thing I can think is they are isolated so you don't run down so genny wont start.

Arctic Fox Batteries

I have new batteries in my 2005 Arctic Fox 1150. Question is when I purchased this the 2 12 volt batteries were never connected together in parallel. Are they supposed to be separate or are they supposed to be connected together. Every other rig I had had batteries connected together. They are the interstate batteries and I have 50 watt solar system on the rig. I also notice with my 1800 watt inverter I can't even power the microwave for more than 10 secs. Am I expecting too much.
Thanks

I have an Arctic Fox 1150 at around 4600 lbs. and had to add air bags and a Hellwig sway bar for stability. Couldn't even imagine that on a SRW as the Dually was squirrely before the add on's
