Anyone want to share their experiences? What are you towing? Gas mileage? Length? Hitch weight? Which hitch? Thanks!

Chalet, Aliner style?

Any advice on these units? Toyota Tacoma truck, so towing aanks!bility is limited. Any leaks? Floor damage? Considering Chalet Arrowhead & Alpine. What do you wish you had known ahead of time? Needs to sleep 4 and garage is limited to the 15'6" models. Thanks!

Chev 2500 Gas/Diesel use TT vs 5th?

Have any of you had experience towing both a 5th & TT with the same 2500 or 3500 tow vehicle, gas or diesel? If so, did it make any significant difference with the heavier 5th? Please give details of what your tow vehicle was and what you were towing. Thanks!

RE: Looking at TT and Wondering...

Of those you listed, the Arctic Fox is the best constructed unit IMO. It might be worth a trip to purchase one. I know that a couple of the Washington dealers do alot of email, distance purchases with happy results. YOu do not indicate your tow vehicle. BE aware that these are heavy trailers because they have strong frames and are built for off road adventures.

RE: fiver frames

Since Nuwa started up again in 2010, they are not using any Lippert frames. They are all Youngs frames and have a good history with the company over many years. The previous units that did have Lippert frames were in the vicinity of 2005-2009 on the HHII and some smaller Discover America units.

RE: King Size Bed

New Arctic Fox 5th wheels show a 295T that is under 32' with a king option. They are new and not out quite yet, but the floorplan is on the website for Northwood. We have seen the longer rear kitchen and it is very nice. (This plan is different than any existing 295T out there currently.)

I never would have thought that a rice cooker would be versatile.

RE: Kitchen must haves

Does anyone use a crockpot? Electric skillet or electric dutch oven or hot plate for when you have electricity to save propane? Does anyone use these outside to save on condensation?
So far, the timer & cast iron skillet win!

Kitchen must haves

What could you not live without in a small kitchen? What did you start with that you have gotten rid of because you didn't use it? Of course, we will have a BBQ for outside.

Under unit air conditioning

I just saw this advertised in a Heartland product, also Komfort (both Thor). This would seem to offer the advantage of lower height for under overpasses etc. Your opinion? I seem to remember Alfa doing this in the past, but I may be incorrect.

RE: Campground memberships?

So, if you buy into a k/m resort membership are you allowed to then choose which level of RPI you add on? Does RPI not have any campgrounds of their own?

RE: Campground memberships?

I notice that with RPI's website, they list the K/M campsites and others as well as being RPI preferred. If you wanted to "buy in" to an RPI preferred campground, how do I know which ones are really "theirs"? Example: Diamond Point in Sequim. It is on several membership sites. Does that mean you can join that park through K/M,C2C or RPI? It appears to be "only" a K/M resort. It is also listed as an RPI Preferred resort & a C2C Deluxe site. Can anyone clarify? We're trying to figure out what would make the most sense for us without hastill ving to commit to sitting through a presentation that would get in the way of a resale purchase. It looks like about the only way we could afford to fulltime would be with a campground membership somewhere to bring the nightly rate down. Thanks!
