RE: Slight Concerns with Good Sam GMAC

You should not even be dealing with your insurance company. You should be talking with your friend's insurance company. His vehicle fire did the damage and should pay for your loss.

RE: Mandatory vehicle coverage with GMAC?

I've had my TT insurance with GMAC for 4 years. I don't remember whether I called or signed up on line. I probably called them directly.

RE: Mandatory vehicle coverage with GMAC?

I have insurance through Good Sam/GMAC for my trailer only. My truck insurance through another company covers the trailer when it is being towed.

RE: Are they BS'ing me?

My slide seals all the way around. when opening the top hits first then the bottom. Reverse on closing. Which i believe is consistent with the flush slide floor design.
X2. It should seal all the way around.

RE: Any suggestions for a quiet, clean campground?

Canada or the US? East or West? Narrow it down a little.

RE: A/C Issues With Dodge Ram?

I haven't heard any issues with the Dodge A/C. You don't mention what year you have. Mine is a 2006 and it will freeze you on a hot day and I tend to be very hot natured. I've had Fords in the past (was a dedicated Ford guy till I got my Dodge) and most of them did have good A/C's. Have you checked on the Dodge Ram forum?

RE: Where are The Weight Police when you need them???

I called Dryers ice cream and asked why they went from 1/2 gallon to 1.75 quarts to now 1.5 quarts........the lady told me people have asked for the smaller packaging..........do what????
I told her that we have purchased our last container of Dryers ice cream until they bring back the 1/2 gallon.......she hung up on me!
Buy Blue Bell ice cream. It is still in 1/2 gallon tubs and is lots better than Bryers. Of course we only buy it when it is on sale. :B

RE: What do you park on at home?

Concrete, dirt, grass or wood. It makes absolutely no difference to the tires. The only reason not to park on dirt is that it may become mud but even that will not hurt the tires. I have plenty of room in the driveway (concrete) so that's what my trailer is parked on.

RE: Pests

I'd bet if you spend some time in the trailer he will leave on his own. Then you need to find where he got in and do something to prevent it.

It may take 4 to 6 weeks if I remember correctly. I think you can get a temporary card on the website.

RE: what size

I take the anode rod out and then vacuum out the water heater. I just use my shop vac and a piece of hose that will fit inside the opening where the anode is installed. I hook the smaller hose to the hose on the shop vac with duct tape. Can clean it out good in a minute or two. I also do the same on the hot water heater for the house. BTW, the anode is there to prevent corrosion of the metal in the heater itself since (if it has an anode) it is made of dissimilar metals that will corrode each other. The anode rod sacrifices itself to save the heater metals.

RE: Want to kill myself because....

My step-mother decided to pick the camping space while my dad went fishing (he was told they were really biting). She drove the MH into a great space and then got out to see how much leveling was going to be required. It turned out she didn't need to level it at all since she forgot to set the brake and take it out of gear so she just watched it roll all the way into the lake. My dad did manage to break a window so the dogs could get out before it completely sank. She never drove another MH.

RE: Permanent grill mounting

Wouldn't want that set up if camping in bear country :)
That was my first thought too. I camp in bear country too often to have a grill left outside.

RE: 2012 322FKS vs 2008 322FKS

Thanks for the update Tomman. We have been looking at the 322FKS for a year or so now. I had recently heard on this forum that Jayco was doing away with this model and not carrying any TT's with king size beds. Did you get yours from a local dealer or one of the wholesalers if you don't mind me asking?
