I keep mine over my Blue Ox tow bar where it sits freely and doesn't interfere with anything; stays plugged also.

Need more information. What will you be camping in:
Tent, travel trailer, fiver, motorhome, etc.

I agree, what you need will depend upon what you are camping with and how.
As an example, will you be cooking your own meals, i.e. rv stove, camp stove, grilling or eating out? Will you have electricity/water or are you boondocking/dry camping? Do you have a fridge or will you be using coolers? Are you sleeping on beds, air mattresses or cots; are you using sleeping bags or bed linens?
As you can see, a little more information will get you the correct better responses to your question. :C

Personally I really hate anyone assuming they can simply cut through my campsite at will. That's probably my biggest pet-peeve.
When it happens, I deal with it; if you want to find out how, you'll just have to cross through my site. :E :B

Always down per our OEM recommendation to take some load off the suspension and tires. I spray the legs with some silicone lube and have never had an issue.
Mine sits on jacks for 5 months each winter season.

Fridge on 'Auto', water off, hot water heater off.
I also put an ice cube on the top rack of the freezer that I check when we return to see if we've had an extended power failure thereby making everything in the fridge possibly bad. Remember that even with propane back up, if there is no power to keep the battery(s) charged up, at some point the fridge will stop working.

Another vote for a door mounted rack. For our previous rv, I bought a over-the-door hanging one that worked really well. In our current rv, we have one mounted permanently to the inside of the bathroom door.

Love mine, I do a hand wax each spring and use Meguiar's Ultimate Wash & Wax throughout the season to wash it. After 4 years it looks the same as when it was new.

Actually it's not really the latest thing, they've been doing that for years. We cross frequently throughout the summer months, sometimes 2-3 times a week. We have Nexus passes which pre-approves us from an immigration perspective and often helps on the Customs side of things but every now and then both the US and Canadian agents will do a spot check.
Last August while crossing with the motorhome back into Canada we were grilled for about 30 minutes on weapons and they went through the entire coach.
They even asked my wife of she was traveling by her own free will!
You never know what they will ask or what they will search for but the checks are really random.

We typically camp 65-70 nights a season; we have a seasonal campsite so we stay there when we're not traveling. Last season (May/October) we travelled about 6 weeks and stayed at 12 campgrounds.

PackerBacker......Those fog lights are fairly useless. I replaced mine early on with a set of Hella driving lights. It was the best lighting upgrade I did. They're about $80.00 a set. With the Hellas, you won't be overdriving your lights after 55mph.
Thanks Don, I've often thought of that. For the price, I could get much more efficient/effective lighting.
While on the lighting side of things, I've found the highbeams on the coach to be terrific; better than factory lighting on any vehicle I've ever had.

Before today when was the last time the generator was used?
Good point, dirty slip rings will cause this also at the point that power generation starts a few seconds after engine start.
I know mine (Onan 5500) has done that in the past after a long time without running. After several restarts it usually cleans itself up and it then works fine.

Thanks for the replies, even the 'direct' ones.
Well yeah, I coulda, shoulda and all the rest of the recommendations and that is on me. My real beef is still with Monaco and their anal parts policy. I spent my life in the business/executive jet and helicopter parts business and I would never force minimums on customers. Not all parts make you the same margins but hey, that's part of the game.
Tex, I guess I really should join the Monaco forum; never really had a need until now.

Did you try to find the manufacturer of the light? I know on my Monaco coach they use a lot of Bargman exterior light fixtures and individual light glass lenses are available from several sources.
No I didn't but that's a thought.
The other thing is that you can't just change the glass lens, it all one integral part.
My real issue is not getting a replacement, it's Monaco's 'must buy two' requirement.

Miffed at Monaco Parts
Just had to order a new fog light (driver's side) after rock or something dinged it and broke the lens. It's a light that has an integral wire with a plug jack, so I could not find it at any of my local parts stores.
I had the MH in for some routine maintenance at my dealer and I asked them to find a light. My dealer rep (who is great in my opinion) also tried to get a replacement light for me through their network of suppliers.
In the end it had to come from the Monaco parts warehouse. The kicker is you cannot buy only one replacement light, they only come in two to a box.
They price them at $45 (Cdn) each but only sell a pair, so it's $90 for the pair. The fact that they even have a unit price is baffling but what really irks me is not being able to get only one.
Monaco Parts, I'm really not impressed! :(

................ We were then cleared to go through Canadian Customs. They asked the three questions...alcohol, tobacco, and firearms. We were directed to a lot to park and DH had to take the firearm paperwork inside and pay the $26 fee. We then drove off into the sunset.

We buy a lot of our groceries in the US and but their questions have always been as you stated 'alcohol, tobacco, and firearms'. We'll sometimes cross 2-3 times a week throughout the May/October camping season and the story never changes.
Never had an issue bringing fruit or veggies into Canada that we've bought from one of the major supermarkets along with our other groceries. My guess is if it is on the store bill and in the bag, they let it go as US product. Never thought much of it actually since we've been doing this for many years.

I had to change the plug on mine, the little threaded retaining ring that holds the center pin came off and the pin popped out. I didn't notice until I went to plug it in again and found it didn't work.
