RE: Help with Canada trip

I am LOL! If I drove from my house to the Texas coast and then back home, for the same miles driven I could be on either the left or right coast so another 500 miles does not bother us. Everything is a two day drive in Texas! We are more interested in mountains, forest and water. I can look out the window now to see flat grasslands. I thought about turning left in Canada and going till we could come back thru Montana. What can we see and do on that route?

Help with Canada trip

We live in Texas and are planning a trip in June or July to Mt. Rushmore with 2-3 grandkids ages 7-12. We would like to go on into Canada for a short trip since we are not too far away from the border. We know exactly nothing about Canada. We like to fish either on small rivers or lakes, interested in local sights and pretty country. We can spend several weeks to a month on the road. Can someone offer some advice on where we should go.
