RE: need advise on route from Sequoia to Yosemite Ca

Just got back from Yosemite.
We are 35' plus 20' Toad and 4' tow bar. Went across no problem.
Also, I5 is fresh paved from LA to 41. Boring but smooth.

RE: Scary situation--help?

Were you towing a toad? My wheel will be off about 40 degrees if the toad steering is locked. No one should have to ask how I know.
I can identify with that...don't ask me how I know either......IMHO, of course
Ditto...St George, UT to LV Nevada. Cost two tires.

RE: Dry Camping Question

RE gray water dumping. I once had an Airstream. It was a 1974 and was the first year they began installing a gray water tank. Before that......well you know.

RE: need advise on route from Sequoia to Yosemite Ca

I talked to Keith at the campground and he said that I can unhook my toad going thru the construction but I probably really don't need to do so. My rig and toad are more flexible that a semi. Call him and see what he says. Also, in the driving directions on the campground website it says that the campground is 22 miles from Mariposa, soooooo, the construction is two miles from the campground on the way there. When are you going?

Just saw your post. We'll be in El Portal May 17-21. Still have not decided which route is best either.

Road Information CA 140 to Yosemite

Can anyone tell me what kind of road CA 140 is from Merced to Yosemite?
How steep is it? Twisty? I have a 35' DP with a toad.
I have not been in that area for years and have never been up from that area.
Here are the directions I have:
Take I-5 North to Bakersfield
At Bakersfield Take CA 99 North
At Merced take CA 140 East
Continue through Mariposa on CA 140 East approx. 22 miles
Thank you in advance.

RE: Two Toads?

I thought the smart cars were 10' long. Won't that make you too wide at 120" not counting the trailer width?

RE: First start after sitting 2-1/2 years

Just finished changing all belts and hoses, cap and rotor, pcv valve and a new battery.Turned the key and it fired right up. So far the only problem I see is that the mileage was reading over 2 million miles. I took the neg. wire off starting battery for a few min. And re connected. Now I just have 6 or 7 dashes. Any ideas. I'm going to take it for ride tomorrow.
Is your question about the odometer?:?

RE: '91 Allegro Bay How to get to Onan Marquis 7000

Go Onan
Find your Generator model number and then find the manual. It will tell you how to access it.

RE: heater controls on dash 97 damon intruder

I'll take a look at mine tomorrow when it stops raining and let you know. I don't think mine will work with the key off but then ...
I thought you fixed the step light problem in your other thread?

RE: removing gas

It's gonna be real funny when the new owner comes to pick up the coach the OP sold and asks what happened to the fuel that was in the tank. :h

RE: how do you light up the night

I don't use them all that often, but I have a strip of LEDs just under the awning:

Cool!..Where did you get them? Is that one length or many? How did you connect them if more than one?

RE: Is your Dash A/C enough in the summer while driving?

We installed clear shower curtains behind the front seats and we were comfortable coming across Great Basin Natl Park last summer when it was 100+ outside using only the dash air and driving into the sun.
I bet a shower curtain helps a lot.
Actually it does! I read about using them on this forum and laughed at first but after trying them out ($20) I know they work. The A/C on recirc(MAX) is not cooling the rest of the coach, only the front area. My A/C system is the same as a majority of owners here. It's a cheap remedy. They look crappy and trailer trash when we camp but I have since given up hope of pleasing everyone.
