RE: Air Conditioning Trouble

Yes more than likely need to replace the unit... As for the 2 thermostats the top one is for your fantastic fan (I assume you have one) and the bottom one is your RV thermostat for heat / cold, etc.

RE: If you dont travel with the FW tank full???

I always fill my 85 gallon water tank before I leave...if you have to worry about the extra weight from the FW tank being full then maybe it's time to upgrade your tow vehicle

RE: Air Conditioning Trouble

Yes, microwave works fine as far as I know. Don't use it much. When you say affected the RV, do you mean the power supply like I am thinking? Affected the RV in terms or a power surge and/or low voltage...as someone else asked was the outlet properly wired???

RE: Air Conditioning Trouble

Besides the stereo and AC are all the other electric appliances working? I'm guessing maybe a power surge or low voltage may have affected your RV...

RE: Surge protector question

M GO BLUE I wouldn't plug into anything without first pluggin into my surge protector and then plugging the surge protector into the outlet... I think you would be wise to reverse your process. V/R first to the pedestal and let it do it's thing, then plug the RV into the V/R. As far as monitoring a volt metre, when you see a spike or brown, it has already gone through your electrical system and quite likely the damage is already done! Vic Either way you do it the RV is protected so really does not matter...

RE: Surge protector question

Voltage regulators, voltage testers, etc. etc. do nothing for you unless you are watching them 24/7 and enven then you could be screwed... The price of a good multi-function is ~ $250 (30A) to $350 (50A)...now compare that to having to replace your converter, inverter (if so equipped), water heater, TV's, refrigerator, microwave, stereo, AC and any other electronic equipment you have should "bad" power get into your RV... I won'y plug into anything without first pluggin into my surge protector and then plugging the surge protector into the outlet... The smart choice would be to invest the money and get a good multi-function surge protector...

RE: for diebetic and/or weight lose wishers

Forget you all...I'm waiting for the Sugar Free Slurpees to come out nationwide :) ahhh...you joke, but there is such a thing!! They sell them at schools - since schools here in Calif have gone sugar free. You can buy the mix online (although I worked for this company several years ago and don't like the owner) at http://www.slushee-usa.com/prod.html I am talking about the Sugar Free Slurpees at 7-11...supposed to be in the falvors of mango, strawberry banana and some kind of cherry flavor

RE: I swapped my ride over the weekend...

I fully agree M GO BLUE. I ran all my numbers prior to purchasing the new TV. Although our plans are to go with a larger TT, we are not going too crazy on the size upgrade. The TT we are looking at has a max GVWR of 8600. The payload of the new F150 (with maxtow package) is 1,870#, with a tow rating of 11,100#. We are on a seasonal site now days, so my towing will mainly consist of taking the camper to/from its covered winter storage location to the CG. Good to see you already knew that...some don't realize that (same thing happened when the Hemi engine came out)... Have fun with the new TT!

RE: I swapped my ride over the weekend...

Congrats! But it is still a 1/2 ton truck and getting a matching TT should be based on that, Ecoboost or not...

RE: Banking while on the road

I have worked for banks for over 27 years but have always banked at a local credit union....any checks are direct deposited, bills are taken of thru BillPay and while on the road I can use any ATM that is part of the Co-Op Services AYM (as an example all 7-11's are part of that) and if I need to make deposits all you need to do is find the closest CU Family Service Center for that and all of this with never a fee of any kind being charged...what big banks can say that?
