RE: Favorite Authors/Subject Matter

Carl Hiaasen: for the strange characters and humor he presents in his stories (Favorite: Sick Puppy) Lee Childs: I have to help Jack Reacher out (Favorite: possibly Echo Burning) James Patterson: the Alex Cross series (Favorite: They are all good and quick reads) J. Maarten Troost: these are travel logs but very funny (Favorite: Sex Lives of Cannibals) Christopher Moore: A strange sense of humor. Makes me laugh out loud. (Favorite: Lamb) the original title was Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Jesus' Childhood Friend the title alone made me laugh. Steve Casteel: Tales of Luna C: The Travels of Tunuts ok ok this is my book but it does come in handy if you find yourself on the toilet and there seems to be no paper handy

RE: ClassA travel vs Motel/Restaurant travel

We just took a 10 day 9 night trip from arkansas to South Carolina with stops in Ashville, Mrytle Beach, and Charleston..........the hotel cost was $1258.81.......and that was with a military discount at each stop.........Gas cost me 433.70.....this was just before prices started down........avg we paid was 3.70.......i figure everone has to eat and everyone will want to play a little so those cost will be about the same......so hotel and fuel total was 1692.51..........i might add we did stay right on the beach and in charleston with stayed in the middle of the historic district......so there you go

RE: Wintering over in Arizona

my word! with valley fever, snow, superstition mountains............holy toledo.... sounds like we should all avoid ever leaving home.......Then again I do live in a place where tornandos fall out of the sky at the drop of a hat......My wife and i spent 4 years sailing the caribbean and still the first thing people ask is..."Were you in any really big storms?"........Just go and enjoy and live life..........it's way too short to worry about the little things.
