RE: Funeral Edict?

The more I think about this the more I convince myself that the situation was not as intense and dangerous as I perceived it to be. I probably could have and should have handled it differently. Hindsight is 20/20.

RE: Funeral Edict?

Thanks for the feedback.
I never gave this topic much thought. I always simply stay out of their way. In this case all the traffic was converging on a fast moving choke point. I was imagining pileups behind me and just wanted to get out of there.

Funeral Edict?

I'm cruising down the highway in semi-heavy traffic. I come up on a big interchange where two interstates merge and I find myself beside a long funeral procession and my lane is about to run out. I couldn't get around them. So I signaled and merged into their line so I could cross to another open lane. Well they were all seriously POed at me. My other options would have been to stop in the middle of a travel lane or pull off the highway altogether. Neither seemed like a safe idea under the circumstances. Thoughts?

How to Engineer a Gas Spring Setup?

I have a lift-up queen bed with storage below and would like to add some gas spring assists. Are there any application guides one would use to figure out the right size and strength of the springs as well as proper mounting points?
Thanks

Propane Tank Covers

Seems like most trailers these days includes a plastic cover to go over the two propane tanks. Do the covers serve some practical purpose or is it just aesthetics? Thanks!

RE: Air Conditioner sizing for 24' trailer

Thanks for the replies! More than half of our RV excursions are to the location with the marginal 20 amp power (mid-atlantic area). Our existing RV has no AC and we get along okay... mostly. Would have been nice to have some cool air this past weekend. ;)

Air Conditioner sizing for 24' trailer

I may order a 24' trailer and have the option of a 13,500 BTU or 15,000 BTU AC unit. I've looked around and couldn't find any sizing guidelines. Can someone point me in the right direction? I'm leaning toward the smaller unit because we tend to use AC sparingly and our favorite campsite has marginal 20 amp power. Thanks!
