RE: Dubois, WY to Yellowstone (Fishing Bridge)

We stayed at Longhorn in Dubois this summer, I really liked the park. We had some truck problems and had to leave a day early, they were very helpful and refunded our the days we had to cut short.

RE: Pushing Camper on Dolly

I just got the Rieco-Titan dolly, it doesn't seem to like going over cracks, it gets stuck.

RE: Charleston WV to Indianapolis, IN via US 35

Last time I drove US 35 in OH it was just about all 4 lane across the state. There was a small stretch between Dayton and US 23, but I would have thought that would be 4 lane by now.

RE: Traveling West on Int 70 Ohio to 44 in St Louis

All of the $ (3.75 billion) from the lease of the toll road is going towards reconstruction/construction projects rather than maintenance, and the completion of I-69 from Indy to Evansville. I-70 takes a beating from the truck traffic and IMHO should be 6 lane (3 in each direction) across the state, I-65 too, we are the "crossroads of america".

RE: Stuck in the Yukon - New or Used

My transmission on my '01 Dodge died in WY this summer so I feel your pain. I traded mine on an '07 w/ less than 17,000 miles. I wouldn't put another 6.0 in your truck. I've read shops that don't even fix them anymore and will only put in a Cummins. It's a shame those motors aren't reliable, it's really given Ford a bad name in diesels, hope their new one is working out better.

RE: Dodge Mega Cab Question

I wouldn't do it unless I had it modified for an 8 ft bed. there are places that will do it, one In UT, one in TX and one in IN. I think the place in UT has a kit you can buy and do it yourself.

RE: RV sites in Wyoming

AB in Cheyenne they have a BBQ place where you can buy dinner, too, stop in Wheatland for fuel though. There are two busineeses where the proprietors don't like each other and they are continually having a gas war trying to put the other out of business.

RE: Indianapolis Indiana

We've still had tornadoes in September but nothing like the devastation experienced by those in Joplin or AL this spring. There was one in Evansville, IN in Nov a few years ago that hit a MH park in the middle of the night, took 22 lives if I recall correctly. We carry a weather radio with us and program it for the area we are in. Come when it best fits your family's schedule so that you can spend quality time w/ your daughter & granddaughters.

RE: Looking for a campground close to I65 in No KY or so IN

Charlestown State Park is nice it is a few miles off of 65, there's a Camping World at exit 99. Might use it for an overnight. Reviews of the KOA on our side of the river aren't too good.

RE: Reflectix under the Heiki Hatch - good or bad idea

I put some window tint from Camping World on the inside of my hatch after I had a handle failure due to excessive heat and now rarely do I pull the shade.

RE: Lake Chippewa Campground

Have been there a couple of times, but it's been awhile. At the end of our first stay they let two families stay on one site next to us, it was our last night and I didn't go to the office to complain, they were up until late and their kids were all over our site. The next time we stayed our son was about 4 or 5 and he had a blast.
