RE: HPFP ??

HPFP failures are caused by "bad fuel". What is wrong with keeping fuel receipts and going after the fuel stations for repair costs? Manufacturers can't be responsible for what you put in your tank. No?

RE: HPFP ??

Could be a bad temp sensor in the exhaust. That can cause a no crank concern.

RE: Ford E450 spring clamps on hoses

It can happen. I've only seen it happen on the radiator side inlet and outlet hoses.

RE: quadra big foot levelers

The reservoir will be low if the jack is extended. Always check the fluid level with the jacks retracted. My Big Foot jack would not retract also. I had to replace the retract solenoid. I was able to manually jump the solenoid to retract the jack.

RE: Another home run for Ford? 240 HP 2013 Escape...

This will definately replace my wife's 2001 Escape, which has 175K trouble free miles. The only miss is the lack of any type of rear bumper.

RE: Thoughts on eternabond tape

It's easy to remove whatever you seal with Eternabond. Just take a razor blade and cut the tape. Eternabond just works too well to fool with anything else.

RE: Installing Shower and toilet Help

You will need holding tanks regardless of if you're hooked up to a sewer drain. There's not enough water to push the effluent through. You will have to wait until the black tank is full then drain it. The toilet needs to drain straight down into the holding tank. The shower drain tank can be mounted off to the side.

RE: Can I just replace with OEM towing mirrors?

I can't say for sure. I do know that the factory tow mirror accessory kit comes with the necessary wiring harness adapters to make them work.

RE: Tire Pressure Monitoring System

I have the SmarTire syetem. The sensors mount inside the tires for true temp readings, unlike the valve stem mount sensors. Last month I had a front caliper sticking-I could smell the brake pads burning. I was able to monitor the tire cavity temps, the left side was 160F and the right side was 109F.

RE: New 2013 Transit van to have both gas and diesel engines

I have no idea what HP rating the diesel will be, it did come to mind that Ford made a V6 version of the 6L V8 diesel, and used it in the cabover engine 4500 series trucks (cab and chassis to be more specific) Ford has never made 6.9L,7.3L6.0L.4.5L,6.4L diesels. They were made by Navistar.:W Here's my link from my post above. Transit LINK

RE: 460 Ford in Class A dies

Here's the ignition module. Look on the back for any signs of bubbling in the silicone sealer. http://images.apwcontent.com/is/image/Autos/silx211_1?$APW_imgProd$

RE: 460 Ford in Class A dies

More than likely, the ignition module is bad. Usually when it won't start you can pour water on the module to cool it off enough to get it running.

RE: Brake caliper rebuild - difficult?

ScottG is right. True, silicon brake fluid does not absorb moisture. That is where the problem lies. The moisture would "pool" in the brake lines causing two things: corrosion in the brake lines (which would lead to leaks) and brake fade( the moisture would boils and create air pockets in the brake lines).
