RE: Anyone know where to buy a small TV that hang flush?

Thanks to all for these late posts. They still have not found one, so maybe their answer lies in one of your suggestions.

RE: Anyone know where to buy a small TV that hang flush?

Thanks so much. Can't wait to hear his reaction when he reads your fabulous ideas. I had come to the same conclusion...that they don't make a TV like this. The need for your great ingenuity is just what the doctor ordered.
As far as the microwave goes, this is a mini with NO extra place to put things. The oven is the only place, otherwise they won't get to have one. I got a link from a poster, here, that showed some really tiny ones.

RE: Anyone know where to buy a small TV that hang flush?

I just heard from the guy I posted this question for. He has looked at all your suggestions and said the following. "I need a 22 inch TV that will fit flat against a wall, can use a braket, but can't attach from the back. Most importantly, the cords have to come out the side, not the back.". Does anyone know of a specific TV that fits that description? Also, where you have seen it?

RE: Anyone know where to buy a small TV that hang flush?

Any brand in particular? Evidently they have been looking at all the big box stores and online and have not found any that mount absolutely flush. There is a chair underneath so the TV has to be thin and no cords on the back.

Anyone know where to buy a small TV that hang flush?

Friends, new to RVing have just bought an older model mini and need a small TV that has the plugs located on the side of the TV so it will hang flush against the wall. A built in Dvd player would be a bonus, but not sure if that is possible. Also looking for the smallest microwave possible so it can store in their built in oven (only place for it). Any ideas on either a TV or microwave?

RE: A great, big thanks...

Yes, Boomer, I posted a link to the daily trip reports I started writing in Utah following our family reunion in New Mexico. At the end of Utah, I have a link to the Idaho, Oregon and California trip reports, then back to Oregon, where I posted all of Washington, Oregon, and Colorado. I jumped back and forth between the different state's forums as we visited that state. Hopefully, our experiences will help other RVers along the way.

RE: Oregon Coast ???

We are just getting home from nearly a month long RV trip, much of it along the Oregon Coast. I kept a daily journal of the places we stayed and a review of each plus stops along the way. The Oregon portion starts here with links to the other states:

Please help with transmission questions on my 06 Ford E450.

How often should the auto transmission fluid and filter be changed?
Should I use the newer Mercon LV fluid?
I should add, I bought my motorhome without any manuals and have been unable to get some answers to questions I have. I appreciate any advice you can give me. Thanks.

A great, big thanks...

To all who helped with our itinerary for our month long RV trip. Your help made this trip the best one yet! Here is my final entry on my daily trip report filed today:
We broke camp and headed out on Hwy 36 east toward Lyons. Pretty drive! We're now heading east on 70 for about 400 miles, stopping to overnight, then the last 400 miles and home. After one month, nearly 5,000 miles on the RV and 1,500 on the Jeep, I now believe I was born to a band of gypsies and given up for adoption to my parents. I could, literally, turn this RV around and head in any direction and do 6,500 more miles without batting an eye. But my DH is a homebody and we both miss our grandkids, terribly, so home we shall go....to 115 degree heat! Yesterday, after I emailed my daughter (who lives in Oklahoma, too) a pic of our outdoor thermometer reading 55 degrees, she suggested we turn the RV oven on, turn off the a/c, and put some humidity in the air in preparation for our arrival. I started perspiring just thinking about it...

Escargot, you've made your point loud and clear. This post was not meant for you, rather for others who are interested in these types of trip reports. Remember, my response was not "just don't read them if you don't like them". It was, "OK, got the message, most don't want them here so click on the link if you are in the minority".

RE: Is there any interest on this forum for a ...

No offense taken. I write, like I like to read, trip reports... full of descriptions, nuances, and preferences other travelers have. This may not be the right place for that kind of report. There is certainly a lack of them here, so I'm assuming that is because there's no demand, otherwise every forum would have them. When I read one, I want to be taken along on the trip with the writer, feeling his or her emotions at the wondrous sights encountered along the road. Here, it appears most are more interested in cold, hard facts and lots of pictures. I have gotten a ton of great ideas and help here and will continue to use these forums for that. Just wanted to contribute as a way of showing my appreciation.
I will post a link for anyone who enjoys reading this type of daily trip report in a couple of days, here on 'General RVing Issues' since that's the place the mods appear to want them.

RE: Is there any interest on this forum for a ...

Roy and Lynn, lol, I'm just the opposite. I like to read wordy reports that give me descriptions of RV parks, restaurants, things to see and do, etc. and NO pictures, unless they are directly related to showing me what a campsite looks like or further the description.
Maybe they won't work here. I might post a day or two and see if anyone is enjoying them. Just thought it might be fun to copy mine over here, since they don't seem to be done much and this forum seems to be the place the mods want them. I've asked them to add a trip report forum here because it's so clunky to find the kind of info I'm looking for. I think it would be an awesome addition to this website.
Escargot, that one was just to give the forum an idea of what I was referring to 'trip report'. Didn't mean to give the impression I would post non-RV trip reports. Here's one I found from an RV trip to Fredericksburg, TX:
Day 7 Laundry, cleaning house, breaking camp...we're outta there by 11:00 am heading to our next campground, Cedar Hill State Park just south of Dallas. Stopped in Hico at the Koffee Kup Kafe for their famous chicken fried steak. It was our second time eating here so we know to split one this time. Good idea! On a whim, while I am in the ladies room, DH ordered the broccoli cheese soup instead of a salad. Really??!! We're not going off the deep end enough by eating here in the first place, we're going to order a creamy, cheesy soup instead of the only healthy thing we would be eating during this meal? Well, let me tell you, it was a brilliant choice! I now crave that delicious, chunky, homemade broccoli cheese soup. I dipped their scrumptious yeast rolls in it instead of using a spoon and I swear my eyes rolled back in my head. Yes, it's just THAT good!
Our GPS got us lost going to Cedar Hill State Park, which happens all the time, and we ended up on a road we couldn't turn around on. I called the park and they sent someone all the way down to open the gate for us. We were very appreciative. Just call ahead and get directions.
CHSP is another great Texas State Park! Level concrete pads and water and electric with nice picnic tables at each campsite are great. Their bath house and showers, not so much. We opted to shower in our motor home. Check in was a breeze. We get several TV stations here at our camp site by the lake so I'm happy to report we'll get to watch American Idol and the OKC Thunder game tonight in the comfort of our own motor home while eating my own special Amish popcorn I make on the stove in a Whirley Pop pop corn maker. It just doesn't get better than that!
Tomorrow, we'll be checking out and heading home. Refreshed, revitalized and ready to get back to the real world. It's been a fabulous trip.
