RE: Cable TV

We are totally new and went on really our first trip and there was cable hook up. The used rv we purchased had the cables, but the tv only would show the channel number on screen, but no reception of the channel. Our rig is a 2009, that made me wonder if the switch box is outdated and if the newer ones are digital? Or if we just don't know what we are doing which is likely the case one way or the other.
Just a shot, but I had the same thing happen in my brand new coach and they forgot to tell me to turn off the power amp on the air antenna when using cable.... that button is located in a very "hemmed in" area that you can't even see in my coach, so I didnt even know there was such a button,
If that amp is on you wont get any cable.....At least not in my Coach, I shut the amp off cable worked fine!

RE: High rear air bag pressure and cracked frames

I think he is all wet my bags say min is 20. I run 45 psi for ten years. If your frame has problems is isn't because of air bags. I think who ever say that I would not ever let him touch my machine.

RE: Shock advice needed

i have bilsteins.
the difference is night and day. smoothed out the ride, but may not help roll as much.
all rvs should have them.
for roll: front, rear anti sway bars, rear track bar, maybe timbren suspension stops or even rear air bags.
for bounce and roll: shocks, timbren rubber pad stops, sway bar (roadmaster, etc) rear track bar. this forum has plenty of info on this topic.
I did all of these and it made my rv drive like a dream. cant recommend enough , at very least shocks and roll bar.
WHOLE HEARTEDLY X2!!!!

I wish we were in an area where Boondocking was more than at the local Walmart, lol
I would love to live out west where that is common!

RE: 4000 onan gen

The crankcase vent goes to the air breather, it is normal to get some oil residue on the filter element, especially with a single cylinder engine.
