new battery

After researching this forum and reading as many post as I could I save some buck on a new battery for my TT. I call an Interstate battery distributor and bought a blemished deep cycle battery that retails for 118.00 plus tax for 45.00 plush tax. The made date was 9-11 and it came with a warranty. Thanks to all for posting.

RE: help needed

I would like to thank y'all for your help. I just finish making the change and what a difference it made, the trailer is now setting level, there was no change in the truck, it's still 37 inches front and rear. I hooked up and towed about 25 or 30 miles to see how the truck would ride and drive I can't believe how well it rode and drove. Thanks again!

RE: help needed

Ball hole spacing on most adjustable hitch shanks is about 1-1/2" between holes, center to center. So if your hitch is 1" high, dropping it one hole will put the hitch about a half inch low, which is just right. Drop it one hole, but leave the head tilt angle the same. Don't change the number of washers behind the head, or the number of links in the chains. Just drop the hitch one hole, that's it. Thanks to y'all for the help. I was waiting for the third person to respond so I would know what to do. Thanks to all three of you for your help.

help needed

I made the adjustments to my equalizer hitch as directed in the sticky on this forum. My truck settled down to the unhooked front end height of 37 inches all the way around making the rear end down 1 1/2 inch. The trailer is now about an inch front end high, I have the ball tilted all the way back. My question is do I need to drop the ball one more hole and raise the ball tilt to make the trailer level?

RE: RVing is...? Be honest and take the quiz...

none of above - We just hate flying, car rental, flight delays, hotels, all meals on road, all cloths smashed in suit cases. There is just no rest and relaxation unless we are in RV. Now we just take it all and tow it where ever!! Where is the like button?:)

RE: Not a good (camping) year for us!!

We are in the Texas heat and have only been out a couple of times this year. One week long trip to Petit Jean Mountain in Arkansas and yes it rained and two trips to state parks here in Texas, it was so hot we couldn't stay outside during the day and no campfires because it was so dry.

I would have to pick A. When I can't get out I bring the TT into town tp my house and park it in the drive, just to drive my neighborhood crazy. I get all kinds of hate mail from the association but I always remove it and take it back to storage before the dead line.:D hehehehe

Wheel Alignment

I have been lurking for a while and have learned a lot and have not posted much but now I need help. I Have an 03 Jayco Kiwi too with Dexter independent suspension, I notice that on my new tires that the right front tire has wear on the inside and no other tires are showing any wear at all. Can this type of suspension be alined and who or where would I take it. Thanks for your help in advance.
