P3 Internal Error message???

I have a problem I was hoping someone could help with. I hooked up my new P3 brake controller to my F-250. I am getting an error message that reads Internal Error No Brakes.
It only comes on when the switch is used on the controller but not all the time. some times it flashes on and off again and some times it will stay on for a few seconds. But again only when the slide switch is used. If anybody could help I would appreciate it.
We are leaving for South Dakota Wednesday morning and I sure would like to use my new controller for this trip.

RE: EAZ-Lift WD numbers. Suggestions?

I think I may have found why my numbers weren't making sense. I noticed the dealer had install one chain bracket 3" out of align of the other bracket causing uneven tension on each side. I lined them up and this time did as EAZ-Lift suggested and measured from the bumpers to the ground.
unhitched
Front 22-3/4"
Back 21-1/4"
Hitched with chains on 7th link
Front 23
Back 20-1/2"
Trailer is 1/2" low in front.
Do these numbers look better? They are the best I have had so far.

RE: EAZ-Lift WD numbers. Suggestions?

These are new measurements. I let it settle for about 15 minutes between measurements. I have heard the front needs to be the same height as before it was hitched and I have also heard the front end needs to be a little lower then before hitched. I am a little confused about where I should be.
Running or not running same measurements not hitched (normal running height when not towing)
Front...34-1/4"
Back....35-5/8"
not running hitched with 8 chain links tensioned.
Front...34-3/8"
Back....33-3/4"
Running hitched with 8 chain links tensioned.
Front...34-3/4"
Back....35-1/16"
Running hitched with 7 chain links tensioned.
Front...34-3/4"
Back....34-3/4"

RE: EAZ-Lift WD numbers. Suggestions?

The numbers didn't make sense to me either. I will do it again tomorrow and let the TV set awhile to allow the shocks to settle before I take measurements. I was thinking of taking 1 washer out and trying to stay in the 7th link so I can keep the bars parallel to the ground.

RE: EAZ-Lift WD numbers. Suggestions?

Unhooked means not hooked up at all to the TT no weight on the hitch.
Hooked up means TT attached to hitch, tension on the bars, engine running so leveler adjust.
My hitching procedure:
1. hook trailer to ball, turn off engine.
2.Put upward pressure on the hitch with the tongue jack until I raise the back of the TV 2 or 3 inches.
3. Tension bars.
4. Raise the tongue jack and start the engine to let the levelers level.
The ground is level where it is but it is gravel so it probably
isn't perfect.
Do you think the front is dropping to much at 1-1/4" compared to the back at 1/4" after the levelers have adjusted.

EAZ-Lift WD numbers. Suggestions?

We have recently got a new TT so I am re-setting up my EAZ-Lift WD hitch. The TV is a 05 Yukon Denali XL. The TT is at the top of it's rating. The yellow sticker rates the tongue weight at 775lb with two full propane tanks. with 1/4 tank of water and loaded the way I load I am guessing the actual tongue weight is around 1050lb.
The Yukon has auto leveling. I only have 750lb. bars. I called EAZ-Lift and they said the bars are way under rated and as long as there wasn't a dramatic bow they thought they would work fine. These are the numbers.
Unhooked (from ground to top of fender wells)
Front.....35-1/2"
Back......35"
Hooked (from ground to top of fender wells)
Front.....34-5/8""
Back......34-3/4"
Trailer frame is bubble level.
7 spacer washers, hooked on 7th link with 2 links hanging. top holes on the shank.

Need help deciding on a new TT

Hello everyone, My wife and I have been looking to buy a new TT. Our TV is a 2005 Yukon Denali XL 8200LB/14000LB. The trailer would mostly be used for weekend trips of about 200 miles and one longer trip a year of maybe 1000 miles. The three trailers we like the most in order are the Cougar 32SAB dry weight 7125LB, Outback 295RE dry weight 6880LB, and the Bullet Premier 5900lb. Any suggestions would be appreciated we are upgrading from a hybrid and are really looking forward to something with more room.
