RE: Mouse in a travel trailer

When it's dark out side turn all inside lights on and open all cabinet doors. look under the camper for the light and seal up holes with Great Stuff Foam or steel wool. I would reseal all penetrations anyways

RE: What Camping equipment does a first time camper need?

Troll i'm suspicious also. the OP has made quite a few posts, offering advice on a number of Camping/RV'ing issues and has a link to a commercial camping website and yet, is now posting as a first-time camper.:h Yeah, here is one post Just completed a stay in Yellowstone at this campground, and I'm pretty happy about it. Lots of campsites, mixed between RV, single, and multiple tent. You can pull your car right up to the site, which is convenient. Three nights for our site (limited to 6 campers) was only $60

RE: BACKING SUGGESTIONS

My wife and I remember our first trailer and the stress of backing it into a spot. May we share a few things that might help someone? Use your cell phone or 2 way radio to talk to one another. Acell phone can be put on speaker and set next to the driver. After checking your width if you are sure you have enough focus only on the driver side. The other side will come along I assure you. To the spotter in the rear use terms that are helpful like " 3 more feet back" or over 1 foot. Not vague terms like "a little more" or my favorite Move over". This is frustrating and of little value. Which way? How much? Practice backing in an empty lot on a sunny day and take turns. Turns out my wife backs better than I do. Have fun with it and loosen up. This is your spouse you are working with. Happy trails. You just missed this http://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/26069550/gotomsg/26069700.cfm#26069700

RE: Snow on slides OK?

OK I went back to check the date you posted (05/22/12 12:46pm) and have to ask do you know something the weathermen don't :h . New Buffalo Michigan is like what 50 miles north of Indiana right? Don't think you have to worry about snow anytime soon. But when the time does come being that you are on the lower east side of lake Michigan I would not even think of leaving your sides out. With the lake effect snow you most surly would have damage. Don Spring came about 2 months earlier for us...Maybe he plans on winter coming early:M

RE: Fuel Price Gouging

We just returned from a 10 day trip in our class A and were returning to Tampa. We were taking 19 South from the other side of Tallahassee where fuel was about $3.44 per gallon. As soon as we hit Perry, Cross City, and Chiefland, the prices ranged from $3.69 to $3.88 for regular. As soon as we got past these three little towns the price began to drop back towards the $3.40 range. Don't even want to mention the price of diesel. Fl. has a hot line to report this type of thing. It is the dept of agriculture I think.... What exactly would one report??? I was wondering the same thing... If I had a gas station and in normal day to day operational economic times I thought I could charge as much as people want to pay. Please correct me if i'm wrong.

RE: Snow on slides OK?

Will you be living in the trailer all winter? If not, I'd bring the slides in just to reduce the exposure to the elements. X2 Unless your using it, why leave the slides out? Agreed

RE: Camping Memorial day weekend

The thread simply asked where u were going, not how much u disliked camping with some of us amatures I did say where I was going.... Here lies the issue... Armature = people that camp on the 3 summer holidays so they can get Drunk, obnoxious and not care...I wouldn't call anyone here amateurs...unless you put yourself in that category.

How long does it scream before it shuts down? If you leave for a few hours, how are you going to hear it? I guess us campers will hear it:h
