RE: Flagstaff V-Lite 21 WRS

Jack, We are also considering one of the V-lite trailers (30WRKS) and towing it with our F150. If we decide to go this route, I will be switching out my current Ford OEM hitch receiver (9900#/990# tongue weight) with one good to 12,000#/1200# tongue weight. I would also be stepping up to a larger WDH probably rated at 1250#. We have a seasonal site, so I will only be pulling it a few times a year, and would do so with just me in the truck. As additional information, my F-150 has around 1,400# of payload (1,610# of actual payload - 200# ARE topper). The V-lites are some very nice units indeed. Good luck! P.S. --> You might also want to post on the Forest River Owners Group discussion web site/forum, as there are quite a few members with V-lite units.

Any Flagstaff 30WRKSS/Rockwood 3002W Owners?

While at the RV show a few weeks ago, we fell in love with the Flagstaff 30WRKSS / Rockwood 3002W TT's. These are in the "v-nose" family of trailers. Does anyone have one? Does the v-nose design make a difference when towing? What are you towing with? Any likes/dislikes or other thoughts? Thanks in advance for any information.

RE: Season Camping

We are going to be starting our second year in a seasonal site this year. We love it! As others have basically said, "try it before you buy it". We ended-up getting a seasonal at a CG that we had stayed at many times prior over a many year period. We had gotten to know the CG, the owners, and the staff during that time, and decided it was the right place for us. I would be hard pressed to jump right into a seasonal at a CG that I had never been to before. We also selected a large corner lot that allows us to use the site as a pull-thru. Even though we are seaonal, we still like the option of being able to hook-up and hit the road for a weekend. Good luck in your search!

RE: POLL: WOULD YOU BUY THE SAME TRUCK AGAIN

Yes I would. I am on my 3rd F150, and have had great experience with each one of them. I plan to replace my current one with a new F150 w/ecoboost within next year ot two.

RE: Keystone Passport 2100RB

We have a 2010 Passport 245RB, and really like it. The unit has been trouble free (except for a few very minor items). I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.

RE: Cordless drill voltage for stab jack lifting/lowering?

I happily use my Crafstman 19.2V for the stabs.

RE: Dishonest RV dealership, General RV

I have no reason to doubt the OP, as this is not the first time I have heard bad experiences reported about this dealer.

RE: Turn off water @ campground faucet

I turn ours off if we are going to be away from the camper for 30 mins or more. Never used to do it until I witnessed water pouring from the bottom of a fiver years ago. The Owners were nowhere to be found. I turned off the water and went and notified the front office. The Owners stopped by to thank me later that day. They told me a line had burst under the kitchen sink and it was flooding thru-out the entire main floor of the fiver. This is a mess I hope to avoid.

RE: rear ended tent trailer: questions

I can't help you out, but please keep us informed as to your experience working through this claim with Progressive RV (as it's who I use). Good luck and hope it goes quick and smooth.

RE: thinking of going from htt to tt

We made the switch from HTT to TT two seasons ago. Like a few others have stated, the canvas lost its charm. We love having the benefits of a ready-made bed, better insulation, and not having to worry about wet or leaking bunks. It is all a matter of personal preference. We have not regretted our decision one bit. And as for it being called the "darkside", I find this only to be true when I want to sleep-in late, or nap, with limited light and sound from the outside world. :)

Bring 5 or 6 kids along with you and turn them loose in the showroom...that should get them moving! :)

RE: Trailer Jack Question

I threw the stupid wheel away, as I never used it. This is pretty much what I did from day one. Bought a metal foot to replace the wheel, and it sits on thick wood/concrete blocks as needed.

RE: 2000 Sunnybrook 27RBS

I agree with those thoughts above. Either a bad (or dead battery) or a charging issue between the converter and battery.
