RE: Looking for suggestions for quiet night time power...

A few years back, and by accident, I turned on the AC. in my RV. thinking that I was running on shore power, because, I had just plugged-in. I discovered that the shore power was dead and was running the AC of my 2K Xantrex inverter, powered by 4 (6v.) deep cycle batteries.. It ran for about 4 seconds. The inverter never worked again. Xantrex wouldn't guarantee my stupidity.

RE: Anchoring new cabinetry into foam walls -- which hardware?

While watching the assembly of RVs at the Winnebago factory I noticed that glue was the only thing holding the walls together. The aluminum frame was there for rigidity and overall strength. In other-words, glue is the only thing keeping the interior surface of the wall from pulling away from the framing and insolation. I would be curious as to how many of the screws holding the cabinets to the wall in your RV are actually attached to the frame? Finding that out may tell you how far to go with your Molly bolts.

RE: Most uncomfortable dinette cushions, ever!

Years ago while building my house, I was living in a 30-ft. trailer with very uncomfortable dinette seats that were about as comfortable as park benches. Terrible to sit and read or watch TV. Changing the cushions helped but what helped more was finding a comfortable foldable chair that could be squeezed in the limited spaces.

McGrath State Beach

I don't know if this has been discussed much lately, however, I thought that this should be posted. just South and bordering McGrath beach, there are new oil wells popping up. So far 6 of them. My guess is that if McGrath closes as predicted, there will be some wells in the old camp sights.

RE: Earthquake

When I was 8 or 9 chasing a neighbor kid playing tag. He ran through the back yard gate. I was hot on his tale when the earth moved to my left 4 or 5 feet , Our house, the gate, and the fence along with parts of southern Calif. Because I was running, only the toes on my left foot were in contact with the ground so I miss the open gate and bounce off the fence. I was laying on the ground for a few seconds very confused.

RE: I Am Done with RV.Net Web Site

I had similar issues a few years back. It was the drivers from other devices that screwed me up.
