Need waterproofing recommendation

Ok guys and gals, the backflow check valve on my shore water connection went south. I removed it and replaced the check valve part, and now need to re-install it. I need to know what to use to waterproof around the fixture on the outside wall. I want something that I can remove in the future for the next time I have to re-build it. Also, I know that silicone is bad stuff because it makes it nearly impossible to seal in the future.

RE: Problem with Outlook 2003

Thanks, that did it.
I accidentally downloaded and installed Google Chrome. I think that did it.

RE: New fiver-new map?

MY, and I stress MY, opinion, the map shows where WE camped, not the camper. If you buy a camper that has been camped in in all 50 states by the previous owners, do you leave their map up?
On the other hand, If Momma ain't happy, ain't no one happy. Let her win.

RE: Leak Around AC Gasket

+1 on the above advice. Remove the plastic shroud on the inside so you can see up into the AC. You will see the 4 bolts holding it on. Tighten them to compress the gasket NO MORE THAN another 1/4 inch, if that much.
I had the same problem and this fix has held now for 5 years.

RE: 2006 Ford E450 Chassis - Headlight removal help

There is two tabs you lift, and the whole assembly comes out.

RE: Manually moving Tow Dolly after vehicle unloaded

I find moving the dolly around on uneven or soft surfaces to be a pain, literally. My neck and shoulder always hurt for a couple of days afterwards. To try to help with that, I just ordered but haven't yet received this trailer dolly. I hope it helps!
Our next toad will be 4-down towable.
At 55 I was struggling to move the dolly anywhere it wasn't on level pavement. I bought the trailer dolly in the link above and it helped a lot, but it was still not easy if the ground is unlevel.

RE: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & Gizmos

Tips:
In a full container of baby wipes, add 1/2c of rubbing alcohol. You will dry quicker & really smells fresh. But I do not use it on my face.
By "1/2c" do you mean 1/2 cup? and do you use 70%, 95% or some other concentration?

RE: Loading a tow dolly without help?

After loading the car on the dolly a few times, I had it down where I didn't need a spotter. It just takes experience.

RE: How fast do you drive on highways in your class C?

At 60 we get 9mpg. At 70 we get 6mpg. At 55 we get 7mpg, because it is always downshifting whenever a hill slows our progress a little, that doesn't happen nearly as much at 60.

RE: How to splice # 6 Shore Piower Romex

The largest wire nuts I have seen (blue in color I believe) say they are good for a pair of 6g wires. I would then wrap the nut and wires in electrical tape to keep the nut from vibrating loose, and put this connection in a closed box.
Buchanan WingTwist Wire Connectors and click on "wire combination ranges." Other manufacturers make this size too.

RE: Electrical Question

I really doubt that the new guy has anything to do with it as he is on a different breaker altogether.
He will be on a different breaker, but may be on a common line causing voltage drop and the above overload condition.
This is true. That is why entire campgrounds can have low voltage. It is not just limited to a single pedestal in every case.

RE: Electrical Question

Sounds like the 50 amp rig is trying to pull more than 30 amps. That is easy to do, especially if it is 25 outside and he has space heaters going. I really doubt that the new guy has anything to do with it as he is on a different breaker altogether.

No audio after download

When I shoot some video on my Android phone, it plays back on the phone just fine with video and audio.
If I download it to the computer, or email it to the computer, the video plays just fine, but there is never any audio with it.
The same thing happens when my daughter shoots video of my grandkids and emails it to me, no audio.
Does anyone know how I can get the audio on the computer?
Thanks,
Bobbo

RE: Bonding a generator

Not to hijack your thread but maybe this is something that might solve my problem. I have an Ariston washer in my Mobile Suites that the electronics go crazy when using my 3000is generator. I have decided the reason might be because of the open ground as it works fine when using home power. Would bonding my generator possibly solve my problem?
It will cost you about $1 to find out. Make a bonding plug and try it.

RE: Bonding a generator

Renoman69's pictures are the way to accomplish your goal. Using the bypass switch (if you had one) also circumvents a lot of the protections of the EMS.
