RE: Faded Decals

You could go to a sign shop and get new ones made you can go to a truck letterer and they can paint them on for you.

RE: Q: towing with a Jeep Liberty?

I am towing an HTT 19' long 4000#gvw. Usually with 2 18' kayaks on top of the jeep also. Maybe they help break up the air flow? I drive at 60 let it go up a little more on the down hills on the flats I use cruise control.

RE: Q: towing with a Jeep Liberty?

I like how people that have never used a Liberty for towing shoot it down. I have towed from DC to 150 north of Quebec City and not had a single problem. I do not get pushed around when passed by trucks or buses. I have never got below 11.5 mpg and even got 15.2 mpg going from Hartford Ct to the end of the Jersey TP. For me it works very well.

RE: Q: towing with a Jeep Liberty?

I tow a 4000# gvw 18' HTT with my liberty and it tows it like a dream. I have even got over 15mpg while towing from CT to DE. I do not even worry when passed by trucks or buses. As for braking on a down hill that is why you have trailer brakes. Set it up right and let the engine do the work and it tows just fine. It is rated at 5000# with tow package.

RE: Passing through Canada to save 120 miles?

I still don't get this comment"(as well as having to arrange a 1-night stopover in Canada)".

RE: Question about synthetic motor oil ?

This is from the Mobil web site; The instructions are very easy to follow: Simply change the oil as you would normally. Any “confusion” is just myth. You can switch from conventional motor oil to Mobil 1 synthetic (and back again, if you want), without following any special procedures.

RE: Broken in

I don't bother to lock mine. I would rather they get in take what they want and not have to damage the camper trying to get in. Of course when put away for the winter we don't leave anything valuable in it.

RE: safety chains

If the chains are properly sized they will not let the tongue hit even if not crossed. Now what about trailers that have the chains attached at a point right in the middle, how do you cross them?

RE: Western Mass to Disney

I have done it both ways and I like 91 to 95. Of course when I go that I leave at about 9:00 pm so I never have hit much traffic.

RE: Trailer/RV Covers

Clean it in the fall, cover it for the winter. Take the cover and just use it. Nice and clean never had to rewash it. Plus why take the chance that a seal fails and you have a leak over the winter.

RE: New place to stay in Maine

How would you hook it up to a camper? Would you just stay in your TV while you use this. It seems like a really good idea.
