RE: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & Gizmos

Finding right key for RV in the dark can be easy if you use a small file and notch top of key. I used one notch for passage lock and two for deadbolt. Now I can find the right key and get it rightside up with my eyes closed. Brilliant!

Tips: In a full container of baby wipes, add 1/2c of rubbing alcohol. You will dry quicker & really smells fresh. But I do not use it on my face. How do I say this? Lets just say that you don't want to use these "down south" either. I speak from experience!

I was glad to see some action on this forum and enjoyed trying to envision exactingly what Bertnspike was describing..... My opinion? Chit chat is a good thing. :) (big smile)

RE: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & Gizmos

I think some misunderstood the OP. I read it that they preferred to do the laundry a week, or two or even three weeks after returning home. Laundry is a chore saved for the unmobile house. We take all the clothes we need for however long we're going to be gone, plus a couple of days in case of emergency. Save all that laundry for the week or two or three after returning home. Vacation time is too precious to waste doing laundry, even if all we're doing is sitting outside the trailer drinking our coffee or tea. I don't like to do laundry while we are traveling either.

RE: Organizing the TC

There are only the two of us. We had quite a lot of wasted space under the dinnette. Im really happy with the extra space we have gained by adding this little 3 drawer shttp://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v639/birdsongplace/camper/?action=view¤t=CIMG0539.jpget

RE: Where do you put the grill?

Ours goes in a compartment under one side of the dinette. It accessible from the outside. We also use that cheapo Walmart type BBQ.

RE: Slide-out campers...

Our Adventurer is able to be used with the slide in but I must admit that it is a pretty snug climbing in and getting by the dinette. With the slide in the bathroom door only opens about 1/2 way. Opening the slide 3 or 4 inches makes all the difference.
