>>Snow normally starts sometime in September
Huh? Its normally peak heat in Sept.
I have seen early snow storms in October but it doesnt happen every year.
Skiing by Thanksgiving is always a blessing.

RE: Airbags for DRW help eliminate CA highway bouncing??

Air bags definitely quiet down the road bumps. They still happen but the bags stops the oscillating faster than just springs.

RE: Anyone Removed this Keystone Raptor Part?

Do you keep the other two in the front next to the generator? I would imagine your raptor is very similar to mine in the front area.

Yosemite road closed

I know double posts are a no no but figured it might save someone from a 5 hour detour!!!!
YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK (CBS13) – A large rockslide is blocking a major route in Yosemite National Park, according to the park service.
The rockfall happened around 11:30 Sunday night closing Big Oak Flat Road.
The road is closed between Foresta Junction on Highway 20 and the Highway 120/140 Junction also known as El Portal Raod.
Visitors can still get to Yosemite Valley from Highway 140 from the Merced/Mariposa area and from Highway 41 from the Fresno/Oakhurst area.
Big Oak Flat Road will remain closed indefinitely

RE: Furnace??

We use 2 electric heaters to supplement the furnace. While the generators running 2 hours before bed, the trailer gets fully heated so the furnace doesnt cycle as much during the night.

RE: Get rid of the garage for an open bay?

We have a 3924 SS Raptor with no garage. Plenty of room for whatever toys we decide to bring. Right now we have 2 2up Can Ams and 3 dirt bikes. I think its 26' to the kitchen counter.

RE: Stumped on my brakes

I have a 40' 3 axel Raptor and I can lock it up (using the lever) no problems. I think I see mine hit like 7.5-8.5 when I step on the brakes hard. I bet its signal loss as well. Sounds like you have the adjustment down on the brakes themselves.

RE: Voltage Water Tanks

Just drive your trailer up on ramps on the vent tube side to burp the air. Make sure someone has a camera and says "watch this" first.

RE: 2008 KZ Sportsman Sportster 33P

Alot depends on rituals. When you dump your black, if your trailer doesnt have a built in tank wash then you should invest in an aftermarket one that attaches to the end of the pipe so you can backfill a few times. You might be getting paper in the gasket so when you close the black blade, it doesnt seat all the way.

RE: Had a break in.

Get a home security system like ADT. At least they will have the cops come check out your house if no one answers the phone (or correctly). We only pay like $23 a month. They will call your cell as well to verify or let you know something has set your alarm off.

RE: Turkey, how are you cooking it while camping this year?

>>I did one the other week at the beach, right over the fire on a grate
I had to look at what state you are from after reading this. If you were camping at Pismo, your bird would have a 2 inch crust of sand on it from the wind...

RE: rv parks near santa cruz calif. that are resonable

We stayed at Laguna Seca Raceway which is actually owned by the county. Its up on a hillside looking down at the racetrack and puts you in the area of Monterey/Santa Cruz. I think its like $35 per night.
