RE: Hillsboro River State Park

We go a couple times a year, we really enjoy it. We have never experienced excessive noise from kids or dogs. We enjoy paddling the river and hiking the trails. As far as campfires, they are a part of camping and we enjoy them. Generally, the people who complain about S.P. are the ones who go to the so called resort style campgrounds or paking lots as I like to call them. To each his own, I'll take a S.P. over a resort any day.

RE: Blue Ridge, Ga.---Whispering Pines Campground

Thanks for that review. I have a former co worker who lives in Blairsville and we've been to Blueridge and love the area. Next time we go up,we'll have to stay at the campground.

RE: Fort Myers Beach FL

Red Coconut, beach front sites are right ontop of each other. When you belch or anything else, your neighbors will hear it. Ft. Myers, Lee County and the State of Florida are missing the boat by not having a S.P. somewhere along the water. Besides Koreshan which is on the Estero River but needs alot of updating. With all the water and beautiful natural surroundings, a campground with privacy and water would be a gold mine. I live in the area and unfortunatly have to travel to find a nice place to stay. The so called resorts are wide open parking lots IMHO.

RE: Ft Wilderness and propane refills

I am at FW now. I just left the Meadows Trading Post where I spoke to a cast member. If you drop your tank (s) of there by noon, they are picked up and taken to another location where they are refilled and returned by 2:30.

Ft Wilderness and propane refills

As many times as I've been to FW, I've never seen a propane refill area. With that said, does anyone know where the nearest place is to refill propane tanks? Thanks, no substitute for experience..

RE: Shoal Creek Campground in Buford, GA?

Check out RVParkreviews.com the last reviews were in 2010 and were not very good. Complaints about the place being run down and lack of security among other things.

RE: fort wilderness

We have had my son and his fiancee meet us for a day or two when we've been there and never did anything to add them to the reservation.

RE: How about an EcoBoost sticky?

Your choice in TV is like your choice in RV. Who cares what you have as long as you enjoy it and it gets the job done for you. By the way I am 55 yrs old and never owned a Ford until now that I have my F150 EB. Love it, love it.!!

RE: Ft Wilderness(again) post pics

We request a specific loop all the time and even a specific site. While we don't always get the site we request, we do get the loop. As stated, there really is not a bad site in the place. Yes, some are a little better than others but none of them are bad. Take some time to enjoy the Fort and don't get so caught up in spending every waking moment in the parks. In my opinion, there is no better place to stay when going to WDW. We will be there over Mother's Day weekend for 5 days and than again over July 4th.

RE: 2012 F150 with sway control

Skip, I knew you'd chime in with good advice. I was leaning toward continuing with my equalizer system but wanted some feed back from others who have towed with theirs already. Thanks everyone for the input. No substitute for experience.

2012 F150 with sway control

Just went through my owners manuel and cannot find anything on how the sway control works on my truck. What I want to find out is whether I use my equalizer bars like I did on my old truck? Does the sway control work in conjunction with my sway bars or do I leave them off? Anyone with the same setup that can enligthen me on this? Thanks, no substitute for experience.

First tow with the new F150 EB

Well,Thursday will be my first adventure towing my HTT with my new F150 EB. The C.O.E. is only about 1 1/2 hrs away, towing on flat, back country roads. Not a real test for my TV but still a new adventure for me. Looking forward to the trip.

St Andrews SP August weather

We're thinking about heading to St Andrews SP in the middle of August. I know this is during hurricane season and I know it is hot this time of year. What I was wondering,do they get the daily afternoon showers like we get in SWFL and also is there any kind of breeze to at least move the air a bit? Thanks for the help. RE: Fort DeSoto Park - how strict are they about no swimming?

My experience there was in launching my kayak and wading out in the water. The bottom is very muddy and I found myself actually sinking in the mud. It was a little difficult to free my feet in order to walk in the water.

RE: attractions near Helen Georgia

Joe, you didn't say where your were staying. If have not found a place yet, I highly recommend Creekwood RV Resort. Small family run campground who's owners go out of there way to be sure you're comfortable. Robert and Melissa are the owners and are very friendly and can give you the skinny on what to see and do in the area.

RE: New 2012 F-1250 EB

I just bought my F150 EB about 3 weeks ago. The manuel says not to tow anything until 1000 miles have been driven. I'm sure there is a very good reason and I'm following that. Car salesman are just that salemans. I think the engineers and veh designers are more up to date on break in periods. By the time I'm ready to tow my HTT on April 19th, I'll have 1000 miles.
