RE: Finally, we're going camping!!!

I am jealous, we are not camping for a couple weeks. Soccer tournaments and work, yuck! I'd rather have a smore and a drink by the campfire. Enjoy your camping.

RE: Mattress dampness caused by heated mattress covers?

We use heated covers, condensation with or without. Noodle idea sounds good.

RE: Which type of Pop Up Gizmos?

We live near Kingston Ontario and our pugs arrived quickly. We think they are great, I think they are the high wind kind but not the super high wind. Service was great we highly recommend the pugs.

RE: Popup Gizmos & bunk fans

We love our Gizmos, much easier to put up than the sports blankets we tried first.

RE: Toaster oven

Hi We have a oven we tried it once in three years. We sometimes use a slow cooker for a roast or ham. We use a small toaster if we want toast.

RE: Add - a -rooms

Our Hybrid is very small. We love the add a room, we have a small table and chairs we set up in it. It is very easy to put up and take down. It helps to hold the awning down but we do watch the forecast and take it down if necessary. We put it up if camping more than 2 nights as we find the extra space great. We also have a easy up screen room we use if camping with friends as we would not fit us all in our trailer if it rains. Also some campgrounds have rocks you park on and the add a room pegs will not go in the rocks. We then use the easy up room but miss the connivence of the attached room.

Old forge vs parc safari

Hi Camping season is over for us. Too many children related activities on the go. Already thinking of next season. Looking at two water parks in very different areas. Park Safari near Montreal and Old Forge. Any thoughts from people who may have visited both theme parks. My kids will be 11 and 14 next year but none of us like very scary rides, we stick to mild/medium thrill or family rides. We love lazy rivers, animals, open water slides that send you zooming and similar land rides.
Thanks, any thoughts appreciated.

RE: Irene ended our season (Outcome, Assessment and Settlement)

Sorry about your HTT, I am glad you are all safe. You can replace things not people. I hope your insurance is good and you can at least enjoy shopping for a new HTT.

RE: Kodiak HTT - Don't buy one -

ShawnMG
I wondered about condensation my husband disagreed. I read some people air out under their mattress daily we only camp 3-4 nights at a time so only air out at the end. We travel with our mattress on the dinette. Thanks for all your help with this and the shower issue.

outside shower 160 Kodiak

Does anyone know how to take apart the outside shower? We are not getting water in the hose it seems to stop at the taps and leak out. Someone suggested we take apart the taps and reset the spring as winter storage may have dislodged it. Unsure what they mean but thought we would try taking apart the shower outside and see. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

RE: Replacing Bunk Ends

When we were camping I saw someone who built a wooden prop bar on the outside to add support. One of the owners was a architect and she said that her and her husband were both on the larger side so it made her feel safer. It looked neat and if it made them feel safer, even if not needed why not.

RE: covering bunk ends

We keep wanting to buy pugs but other expenses crop up and we keep putting it off. We are trying sports blankets now. Part of our problem is we live in Canada and we have to consider shipping costs as well in the price. They sound great though!

RE: Kodiak HTT - Don't buy one -

Eeeek! When I was placing mattress on front bunk I noticed near the bottom a few bubbles in the center and left corner of the bunk. Nothing on outside, no water seen in storage or on bunk and does not seem soft anywhere. October going to take it on to get looked at, hope local dealers can accurately diagnose issue as only our 3 years camping in our bought new 2009 Kodiak 160.
