RE: How To Change Hard Drive Partition Size

With HDD so cheap why would anyone want resize a partition when the other drive has such little free space. I keep my HDDs under 50% full to keep them from slowing down when writing and reading files. If you enjoy a slow PC then fill them up.

RE: Watching NASCAR Duels

Here's the clue: The onboard camera, with its limited peripheral vision, saw Almirola's car coming down. A good/experienced driver, with good peripheral vision, and good sense of anticipation, would seen that THAT car was GOING to be coming down,.....and would've slowed and turned towards the apron(while still under control). Some drivers are THAT good, some aren't. I'm saying that Tony would NOT have been in that position in the first place,....and he wasn't.
I'm not saying that Tony will be able to avoid 100% of the potential crashes. What I'm saying is that drivers like Tony and Kyle have learned how to anticipate, and react accordingly, a HIGHER % of the times than Danica. The videos and the statistics certainly indicate it.
Look at the contact in real time, there is no way any driver on the planet could have reacted fast enough to not get caught up in that wreck. The 43 car took her out and no driver could avoid that.

RE: Watching NASCAR Duels

Tony just won the first one, and Danica totalled her car. She really needs to learn how NOT to crash.
I'll see how Kyle and Kasey do in the second one.
Explain exactly how Tony would not have crashed after the 43 car turns into him ? Why did Tony crash last week ? He should learn how NOT to crash.

Looking at the data through February 21, this winter would end as a top three warmest in New York City.

RE: Watching NASCAR die

They should go back to racing REAL production cars.
I totally agree. Get rid of the "car of tomorrow". Yesterday I watched a rerun of the 1981 Daytona 500. How refreshing it was to watch real cars race. NASCAR has not been the same since they introduced the "car of tomorrow". I used to be a big fan; rarely watch nay longer.
Ray
Right, ask the drivers if they want to crash in a 1981 NASCAR Cup car or a 2012 Cup car. Exactly how is the 1981 version a real race car and the 2012 not ?

"Would 200,000 people go to the Daytona 500 to watch 43 pace cars do 200 laps ?"
I would venture a guess that a great many of those 200,000 people are there for the PARTY, not for the racing!
What party ?

Would 200,000 people go to the Daytona 500 to watch 43 pace cars do 200 laps ? What racing series in the US is doing better than NASCAR ?

RE: best small digital camera???

I just pre-ordered the new Pentax K-01 that I plan on using with my many Pentax K-mount lenses. My widest range K-mount lens is my 28-300 Tamron that works great with my 10-24mm Tamron that cover the full range from ultra-wide to long Tele (15mm to 450mm eqiv) with just two lenses. I use lenses from 6.5mm to 2350mm on my Pentax cameras.

RE: NHRA Winternationals

The incomparable John Force won the funny car race in the season-opening NHRA Winternationals in Pomona on Sunday, while Spencer Massey won in drag racing's top-fuel division.
Force, 62, is a 15-time funny car championtop and the victory was his sixth Winternationals victory and his 15th win overall at Auto Club Raceway.
Force also leads a four-car team in Yorba Linda that includes Mike Neff, and it was Neff who lost to Force in the final round as Force sped down the 1,000-foot track in 4.080 seconds at 315.64 mph.
The top-fuel finale also pitted teammates as Don Schumacher Racing's Massey edged Antron Brown for the victory.
In an earlier round, Massey also set a national speed record for 1,000 feet when he was clocked at 328.62 mph while defeating Tony Schumacher, the seven-time National Hot Rod Assn. top-fuel champion.
The top fuel and funny car classes had their races shortened to 1,000 feet from the traditional quarter-mile, or 1,320 feet, starting in 2008.

NHRA Winternationals

Despite her best run of the weekend, rookie Courtney Force lost to teammate Mike Neff in the second round of funny car eliminations Sunday in the NHRA Winternationals.
Force, the 23-year-old daughter of 15-time funny champion John Force, covered the 1,000-foot drag race in 4.143 seconds and 313.88 mph in the left lane at Auto Club Raceway in Pomona.
But she couldn't catch Neff, who made a pass of 4.070 seconds at 315.49 mph.
Neff nonetheless was impressed with Courtney, who ran consistently well in her first Full Throttle Series event.
"She's done a fantastic job, I really want to congratulate her," Neff said.
Courtney had defeated Bob Tasca III in the first round to advance to the semifinal round, and despite her loss to Neff she was all smiles after climbing from her car.
So was her dad, who defeated Tim Wilkerson to advance to the semifinals immediately after Courtney's race.
John Force, 62, then got out of his car, walked over to Courtney, gave her and hug and a kiss and said, "Proud of you, baby."
