RE: Plug for aluminum hot water heater

The problem with a metal plug of any kind is the build up of material on the threads that extend into the tank will damage the threads in the tank when it is removed. These materials do not build up on nylon plugs.

RE: Converting to electric awning

A manuely operated awning has a lot of pluses like seting the angle of the awning, being able to put the legs down if you want and most of all the people around you can roll it up if a storm comes and your not there. I have a Care Free electric awning and like it very much but it does have it's draw backs.

RE: Roof versus Basement A/C Units.

One small con for basement is that they are quite noisy outside which I've seem drive neighbors up a wall. Not your concern I know, but just something to be aware of. In one case the complaints were vocal enough where the park decided the basement air violated the "quite hours" and had to be shut off after 10:00 pm. My unit has basement air and while setting on the patio you can't hear the AC unit. The people setting with me always ask what is making the grass blow around beccause they can't hear it running. It also works well in florida.

RE: Fiberglass roof cleaning. White residue on MH.

I cleaned my roof and used Red Max 3. I put 4 lite coats on the roof almost two years ago and it still looks good and isn't oxidizing although I think I will apply another coat this summer. They don't make Red Max 3 anymore but Zep step 3 Wet Look floor wax is the same. Zep made Red Max for Lowes and Lowes has Zep now. The secret is thin coats because this stuf is like water and will pool in low spots if you use too much at one time.

RE: Rochester Carburetor Adjustment Tool

This is an emissions style carb and came from the factory with caps over the adjusters so not to let people adjust them. If you are having problems you should remove them and spray some Gum Out in the holes to clean the idle curcuits and then reinstall. Turn them in till they bottom out and then back them out 2 to 2 1/2 turns. After warming the engine you shouldn't have to turn them more tha a half turn to make it idle smooth if not look for other problems.

RE: Upgrading to Flat Screen, have questions?

IMHO the most important thing is the outside dimetions so it will fit in your cabinet and view angle so you can watch it from any angle. For the suround sound any audio out will do. I have a 32" Magnavox That is 30 1/2" wide. It fits in the cabinet and has a great picture. When you go into a store to look at TV's they are all runing in HD.

RE: Towing double ?

Are there others out there that will risk the wrath of the neigh sayers and admit that they tow double ?
For example: Ex cab dually, 36'fifthwheel, Tow dolly and ex cab 4x4 pickup ?
Meets the maximum length for the plains states at 75'.
Ever know of a RV er getting a over the length citation ?
Or even measured for length ?
We towed 7600 miles double last year without incident and would like to hear from others about their double pulling experiences. Stay out of Ill.

RE: water heater turns off after a few seconds

It's most likely a bad connection. First pull the connector on the curcuit board on and off a couple of times and then find the wire that comes from the flame detector(It will come out from where thw burner is) and clean those connections.

RE: Front Suspension riding on bumpers

These yellow things are called air springs and are part of the suspention. they help keep the shock out of the ride when you hid dips in the road. They are normaly realy close to the spring or just touching it. they are also called jonst bumpers but I don't know if that spelling is correct.
