We retired in our late 40's and a few years later, in 1997, we sold our condo and most everything else, bought a truck and had a new fifth wheel built and hit the road full time. After 3 yrs, we sold the fifth and had another one build fixing our prior rig's shortcomings.

Each winter we do 'park it' for awhile in S. FL for a period of additional R&R. The first 5 yrs we had a RV lot on Hutchinson Island just north of Stuart, FL. After we sold that, we bought another RV lot at Silver Lakes Golf & RV Resort in Naples, FL. where we've wintered since. We had a screened/windowed lanai built that attaches to the fiver and provides a great deal of additional living area. When we leave, the lanai is disassembled and put in storage.

Our Spring, Summer and Fall travel style is unplanned except in general direction such as northwest, out west, the Maritimes etc. With children and grandkids in N. VA and other family in N. IL, those visits anchor each end of the travels. If we find an available lakeside site or great mountain view site, we'll stay for a couple or several weeks. After more than a decade, we still enjoy the full time lifestyle very much.
