had the new rig out Raptor 415TS with the onnan 5500 running for about 2 hours watching tv and such turned the air on and about 30 minutes later the generator turned its self off it started right back up but the light blinked 3 times real fast which said service needed. my question is there something to look at real quick before I make a appointment to have it looked at

Should be an 800# in Onan book. They will tell you nearest Onan warranty place. When mine quit it took 6 weeks to get an appointment. May be different depending on area.

If you have the Onan book it tells you how to put it in code mode and it will spit out a code telling you whats wrong. The codes could be just take it to a dealer or a little more detailed which maybe you can repair on your own.

The dealer told me to take it to a Cummings rep and it was only 4 months old. Mine would shut off after 15 seconds. Cummings had to replace the carburetor. It had a sticking float. The fuel was brand new and the level never went below 1/2 full.
