Hello Everyone;
I don't know if anyone can help me out there but here is my query. We just arrived home from our first 6 month trip through 18 States & I am taking my latest trip pictures & editing/sorting them. What I am looking for is a FREE program that will do the following: 1. Turn it into a slideshow, 2. Add music to it, 3. The finished product would be transferable onto an Expansion/Flash Drive, & 4. It needs to be a program that will be able to be viewed on any TV that support a photo slideshow. But I need to stress two things that it is a FREE & EASY program to use. Thanks for your help.

If your computer is running Windows, you already have a program called Windows Movie Maker... it will do all the things you are looking for.

An alternative would be Google's Picasa program.

Create a slide show with music in Windows Movie Maker

Sounds like a great question for the technology folks that hang out in that part of the site's forums.
Here's the link to what some of us refer to as Geek Central! [emoticon]

Another suggestion for Picasa, and it't a very easy program for making adjustments to your pictures.

I think adding sound is a great idea. Be sure to add a thunderclap every couple of minutes so your audience will regain consciousness.

No need for that. We were with him for almost 4 months of the trip and were too busy to be boring..[emoticon]

Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

For those using mifi or smart phones we have data limits and sound just burns up more data. Not a good idea for us.

Find the most smart aleck 12 year old kid around. Ask him about it. He (she) will be so happy to show you how "dumb" you are, that it will be done in an amazingly quick amount of time and it will be a beautiful production. Since the kids today are not required to read literature, they won't even realize they are "white washing the fence" ala Tom Sawyer. lol
