Uh oh, here we go again. You're going to get more than you wanted to know about tires. Trust me on this.

I would go with the Michelin LT tires on mine. I think the extra $30 per tire is money well spent. I will be putting LT tires on mine in a couple of years. Good luck with your decision.

For that coach I would upgrade to the last tire you will need get a set of 17.5 inch tires and wheels and end your worries about tires..

Oh, sorry if I opened up a can of worms. New to this Forums so I guess I have a lot more to learn about the culture here. Was previously an Airstream RV'er and understood the dynamics there, guess I have some time to learn the culture here.

Don't the Mobile Suites have 8000# axles??
Aren't those Goodyear Tires 'G' rated (G614s)??????

You don't want to go with ANY 'E' tire due to weight of that rig.

You either get Goodyear G614s or upgrade to 17.5" tires/rims.....like what came on the Elite Suites

Is it time for your medication or mine?

If the OP already has LT 16" tires on his unit why would you think he should go to larger tires/wheels. Just asking, not arguing.[emoticon]

Unless he is wrong about tire size as Old Biscuit pointed out-he beat me to the keyboard!

GY LT 16 is sorta generic. What load range and what sub brand?

May as well post the designated tire on the GVWR sticker along with the trailer GVWR.

Of the choices given I would go Michelin.

1. Correct, the axles are 8,000 #.

2. It's a 16 inch "G" rated tire according to the Owner's Manual.

3. These are the original tires on the RV (just purchased it 3 months ago and I am nervous about running with tires that old). I checked the date code on the tires and they are 2006 just like the RV.

Ok, I'm going to expose my ignorance now ... but if I understand correctly (which I claim to know very little), an E rated tire is 10 ply and a G rate tire is 14 ply? And the greater the # of ply then the greater the load they can carry?
