My wife and I are not really looking to buy a new rig (yet) but I remember seeing somewhere about how much you can typically talk down dealerships from their asking price. Is it 25% or something different? Thanks!

Really depends you'll hear a range from 25-35%, as bumpy noted it will depend on their asking price and if you have a trade or not.

I just got an email price on a Grand Design toy hauler. List price was $104,000 and the email price was $71,400 before any negotiating. The higher the list price, the higher percentage available discount. 25-35% seems to be the range.

720Deere. FYI I got my Momentum at the Hershey RV show for less than that. Found the best prices there. Everyone working together between the manufacturers, dealers and bank to make the deal happen.

I'm not in the market, but I do find the Momentum to be very well built. They do a lot of things that I like, but at the same time, I think their layout could be a little better. One of the reasons we ended up with the Fuzion 315 is that it is one of the few toy haulers that seems to have adequate storage for 8 people. Most of these toy hauler manufacturers must assume that people either wear the same clothes every day or that they do laundry every day. With women and girls making up five of the eight usually in our trailer, ample clothes storage is a must!

8 people, including 5 females, traveling in one RV?
I'd shoot myself.

Well, Bumpy, that is why I don't carry a gun! My immediate family is just myself the wife, son and daughter. For probably half of our trips, the wife's sister, her two girls and her son tag along. On weekend trips she never seems to bring all of her kids. Space is only at a premium during our biennial 9 day Disney trip. 8 works just fine since 4 of the women use the bath house for all their beautification needs. It still takes a miracle to get them all to the Disney parks before Noon!

If you not laughing at your own offer it's to high! In today's market things like RV are still selling slow and that inventory is their bank of money they half to sell. Find what you want have them make an offer once you get that offer back knock it in half then see what their welling to deal. Do that to thirty or so dealers and have them fight for your money.
