alsplace.....it's called an affiliate program through commission junction...anyone with a website can sign up for it.

OK thanks. As I said before, I dont know how the ads work but I understand better now. I didn't want to cause trouble and again I'm sorry for making the post. It just caught my attention that the Good Sam ad was there and I have bought tons of stuff from Camping World and love going into their stores. So again, sorry to have derailed things, wont happen again.

Perfectly OK in my book. This is one place where I've asked some questions and most are very helpful. Sometimes not even RV questions.

All websites have ad programs that use a key word from the advertiser and they rotate the ads in based on the keyword. They will show up any where even if not related if the key word is somewhere in the body.

A few years back there was a couple of inappropriate ads that showed up here too. I don't know if they do anymore though I block them and don't see any ads!

I may be old fashioned, but if were were a business owner and advertiser, and I was way back when, I would not allow anyone the power to post my ads anywhere they choose.

My money. I will choose where.

CW is supposed to ok the people who sin up for the affiliate program. Because some posts a rant on their page today, doesn't mean it was there whenever they signed up for it. Cj cuts you off if your website is not supplying click throughs that generate income after a certain period of time

CW uses the commission junction program. They are banner and text ads. The only way these rotate is with script software. But they are not based on keywords. There are some other programs out there that do work that way. I do not like them as I feel hey are a little deceptive and make he entire page look like an ad. It's hard to tell what's really the article and what's an ad. I haven't used those on my site. Mine have always been banner ads on the side or bottom and every once in a while I will link in the article. But I don't like putting something in the middle of an article.
