About a month ago I called the Good Sam Office to inquire about a smile & swipe card for my membership. I am a life member. The gentleman was very nice and told me I would be receiving a new life member card with the smile & swipe capabilities in about 2 weeks. So far, I have not received the card. What's up with that??

It took almost 4 weeks before I had mine and 6 weeks for the Pilot pay at the pump card. Just gotta be patient.

Same here I think It has been about 5 or 6 weeks since I was told they would send one out!
I guess the storms are holding up "Pony Express"!

Good morning & thank you for all your comments. We would like to apologize for the delay in receiving your Good Sam Club membership kits. Over the past few months we have been tracking the time it takes from when your request is processed through our system until the time arrives in members’ homes. Since we have begun this test we have received all of our sample kits within an average 3 weeks.

Your membership cards will arrive in a large white envelope that states “Membership Card Enclosed” in a black box on the right side of the envelope and “Please Open Immediately” underneath your name and address.

If you haven’t received your new membership cards within 3 weeks please send us a private message with your mailing address. We will be more than happy to investigate as to why you haven’t received your cards and ask our vendor to expedite a new membership kit to the address you provide.

Requested my cards about 2-3 weeks ago and they arrived today exactly as described above.

If I am a life member, why do I need to request a swipe card? I didn't request all of the "stuff" to get insurance or extended service warranty. It gets sent to me automatically.
So I guess I will now call to request my card.

Please give us a call at your convenience, 1-800-234-3450 and request new Lifetime Membership cards with the swipe and save feature. I apologize, but ordering lifetime membership cards is different than Good Sam sending you information/acquistions on products and services. If you would like to opt out of those mailings, let the member services agent sending you new cards know you would like your mail suppressed!

Because the "stuff" you are getting are offers. You aren't getting actual printed material (official membership cards). That all has to deal with marketing. Not every life member will want the swipe card. I haven't called for one. That's because I already have the RV Plus Card and don't need the swipe card. The RV Plus Card gives me more than the regular swipe card.And there are others that don't want to have anything to do with Flying J. I'm sure every new members card, whether life or not, has the swipe feature.
