Is there any information on any upcoming Good Sam "The Rally" rallies?
I can't find anything anywhere.
What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.
Can't we all just get along?

Don't know what they have planned yet since it was supposed to have five region Samborees to replace the rally but nothing on this either.

Saturday during the time of the meet & greet with Marcus Lemonis at the Rally in Atlanta area, he stated that no decisions had been made yet. He is trying to determine the best place that meets all the complicated requirements, yet is not so costly that the cost of the rally will have to be raised. He did mention the West, and the need to try to have one in the Midwest somewhere. I feel like it won't likely be in the Southeast again anytime soon.

That's going to be tough to pull off for 2014 at this point as most of the facilities that would handle a rally of that size are booked 1+ years in advance.

I liked the fact that they finally had one in the Northeast (Syracuse, NY) this past year.

Considering the current economy, fuel costs, and the costs associated with putting on large rellies I think the days of the three to four thousand RV'ers attending a national relly are about gone.

Those rallies have been gone since 2008, but a 2000(ish) coach rally is very doable. Good Sam went from 1 to 2 to 3 to 2 to 1 (maybe, but none a possibility) in 2014. FMCA always had 2 (E and W) but dropped to 1 about the time GS increased to 3. It's a really odd competition between the 2 competing entities and it will be interesting to see how it all flushes out.

I enjoyed Louisville. I much prefer to park on blacktop for these events than wet grass/mud. The facilities were large and accommodated the exhibits very well. Nice place for the entertainment too. Midwest was pretty central. FWIW

According to RVBusiness.com, which reports on industry news, Camping World has just announced that there will be no Good Sam national rallies in 2014. They will be analyzing what to do about one or more rallies in 2015.

It appears the only large rallies this year will be organized by FMCA; one in Perry, GA and one in Redmond, OR.
