Hi. I am brand new to the forums. I have a 1998 40 ft. Monaco Dynasty pusher.

I was wondering which RV Shows are the really big ones with lots on units on display. I am in Mississippi so I would really like to attend one that is fairly close to home. I am not interested in traveling a long way to see a smaller show with a few dealers participating.

Does anyone actually know of a fairly large show coming up in the next couple of months or so?

Thanks,

Lee

I googled RV shows in Sacramento, Ca. and came up with a site talking about the great show coming up there at Cal Expo which turned out to be a farse. NO sales reps and only a couple of dealers. Same as going to there lots. We also got charged for it. You can't believe the web sites because they are trying to con you into going. You have to go by word of mouth. Some of the shows that used to be good have change to just a few dealers!

The St. Louis RV and Travel Show is Jan. 9-12. It is a huge show. We have gone the last several years. We make a day of it.

It appears you have missed the best of the best. It looks like Good Sam is bailing out of the RV show business which it used to host 2-3 times per year. Hopefully, Family Motor Coach (FMCA) will still sponsor a rally for motorhomers, but if you have a towed vehicle (trailer or 5th wheel) it appears you are out of luck for anything other than regional rallies.

What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.

We used to have at least 2 big shows a year in AZ. They're a thing of the past. Shows we have now are simply a single dealer that brings some of their RV's to an offsite location and calls it a show.

The next one I know of is in Kenner,La. at the Ponchatrain Center in Feb or March. A really nice place to park is Bayou Segnettte SP in Westwego. It's about 7 miles from the Quarter and @ 15-20 miles from the show.
