What is the payload rating?

Also, is the 500# TW without weight Dist. hitch? My truck is 500# without WDH and 1000# with WDH. If your MDX is 500# with WDH, you are screwed on a VRV as they have too much TW.

sticker says" combined weight of occupants and cargo should never exceed 1173 lbs."

it doesn't mention TW on the sticker, but does say

GAWR F 2910 lbs
GAWR R 2965 lbs. Does that somehow determine TW?

it has a class III hitch, but no oil cooler yet.

thanks again

I just put a deposit on the 26 foot fbr 2015 Axxess, Man these things are expensive, it will sport the new white paint job. Now I need to figure out what I need to add to my truck, mirrors, hitch etc etc.

It will not mention TW. The TW is how much weight the VRV adds to the vehicle after you hook up.

Here is the problem you may have which is the problem I have with my 1/2 ton F150 that has 1200# payload. Take your 1173 payload and subtract the weight of all your passengers, and gear you put in it. The payload probably assumes a full tank gas and one 150#driver. Example for me...Me, my Wife, two dogs, coolers, luggage, etc. weigh 500#'s. My TW on my VRV is like 800#'s. So, take my payload of 1200# and subtract the 500 and 800 and I get -100#'s. So, I am technically 100#'s over my payload rating.

I really think a VRV is pushing it for you. I personally am selling my VRV and buying a bigger one. So, I'll probalby be buying a bigger truck. If you do get a VRV I'd look at the 614 or 615 from livin lite.

Thanks 09KZMXT266 !

This is all good info, and it makes a lot more sense to me now. The crazy thing is 4 months ago I sold my F150 w/tow package, trying to downsize to something w/better mileage and easier to park in NJ. Now we have a few more dirt bikes and my son wants to really get into racing, hence the need for a VRV. I'll take a look at the 615 and see if that would work, spec wise, for the MDX. I don't think I'd feel comfortable toying anything bigger w/it anyway, to be honest. Until then it's the 5x8 enclosed trailer we'll continue to use.

Thanks again -

Not to go off track here but what are the insurance rates on these things? I am getting a quote for 1k per year on a 2015 Axxess, does that sound right?

I think my 2015 8.5x24 vrv is a bit under $300/yr through statefarm.
