I have a PC running Vista. My question is when i sync two iphones will this combine contacts from both phones? My son told me with the cloud this happens. Is there a way to keep this from happening? We want to share apps but thats about it. I will be syncing my Mom's phone, it's a lot easier to take care of it for her than to teach her. If it is too complicated I'll just give her an Itunes gift card for Mother's day so she can buy all the apps she wants. First she needs to learn how to text.

According to MacWorld, you should set up separate iCloud accounts for syncing and backup. You can use the same id for iTunes purchases.

We sync all four of our iPhone with my iTunes account; in turn none of us sync our conacts off of my computer. However they all have their contacts on their phone and with iCloud. I use iCloud to sync my contacts/calendar with my Mac at home, iPhone and Mac at work - works great. I then share my personal calendar with my wife. The only items that sync when attached to my Mac are Apps & Music.

So if I understand, don't check sync contacts, just apps and then we can share the apps.
I can set her up on her computer with my id to back up her phone? Or should I do that with her own id.
Thankyou
