Moisture has seeped in between the glass on my entry door on my 09 American Allegiance, making it difficult to see. I filed an insurance claim and the adjustor came out for pictures and a look. Appears they are not going to cover the damage. The adjustor stated they were seeing a lot of this in different makes of rv's, also that some people were taking the inside glass out, cleaning the window and moving on down the road, making it a one glass door.
Has any body tried this--what are your thoughts?

Yeah moisture between glass HAS to be cleaned off. I'd just take a piece out and make it 1 glass.
4 whopping cylinders on Toyota RV's. Talk about great getting good MPG. Also I have a very light foot on the pedal. I followed some MPG advice on Livingpress.com and I now get 22 MPG! Not bad for a home on wheels.

Taking out the inside pane is not going to hold well with some people. The windows are dual pane for a reason. The reason is they are more efficient with holding heat or air conditioning in the coach. A single pane window does not perform as good as a dual pane. I have this problem and have considered taking the pane out, but have not as I don't want to hurt my resale value. You can have the window repaired for less than $300.00

There is one in Hudson, Fl their site is - http://suncoastdesigners.ccwindow.com/index.html
There is another company out of Indiana with a location in Lakeland, FL that is a little cheaper. I am trying to find their brochure, They will let you ship the window to them.
If you do a web search for RV window repair, a bunch all over come up.

If you can get the glass out of the door, most any large local glass shop should be able to repair it, or make a duplicate. The place in Hudson, FL, does a great job but I think this is probably something that you can get repaired locally, IF you take the glass out of the door for them.

An 09 should still be under warranty. Tiffin replaces theirs at no charge for 3 years, are they that far ahead of everyone else?? Have you talked to Fleetwood??

There is a company here in Searcy, AR that repairs the windows. Don't know how big your window is but cost will probably be $200 or less. They have a web site, I think the name is the fog doctor.

Fogging windows seems to be the order of the day for dual pane windows in RV's these days. There's a strong possibility that if you have 1 fogged window today, you'll have several more in the near future. Seems these dual "pain" windows do not take kindly to bouncing down the road and keeping the panes sealed.
By the way, I owned a Tiffin Allegro Bus for 7 years and it's not unusual for the replacement windows to also have the seal break and become fogged!
