Whatever he is, he is adorable. Bless his little heart. Cesar Milan says something along the lines of "you don't always get the dog you want, but you get the dog that you need". Maybe that is true in this case?

As cute as puppies are, it can be really hard going through the "poo and chew" stage, so we've always adopted, or been adopted by, dogs who are beyond that stage. There are so many out there like Duncan who could really use a second chance, and they tend to be such great, unique dogs. Bless you for opening your hearts to him.

Thanks everyone for the comments and welcome. He's a good little boy and I have lots of chew toys for him so he doesn't get in too much trouble.

fordsooperdooty: his eyes are actually kind of a light golden color. Kind of hard to describe but they are the first thing you notice when you first see him.

This time we agreed we wanted a non-shedder, female, and something a couple years old. Well three days before we left for our trip this little boy came into our lives. So we have a male, who sheds a little, and is still a puppy.

Ain't that always the way it works. Congratulations, thank you for rescuing this little charmer and best of luck with the new family member.

What a cutie! He reminds me so much of my first "heart dog". He was a smart, hardy little mix that looked very much like yours. I shared almost 18 wonderful years with my Jangles, as in Mr. Bo Jangles because of his unique dance.... Oh what wonderful memories I have of Jangles. I hope you make as many with your Duncan.

Welcome to the forum.

Hi,

Duncan is so cute. He is already trained, loves camping, and all you have to do is love him. I'm so happy that you two found each other. Duncan sure looks happy.
