I'm thinking about spending the Memorial Day Weekend at Myakka River State Park. My MH is 40 feet and I notice they have a 40 ft limit, which worries me some since I've been to other places that say 40 ft is ok, but I needed to grease up the sides to fit in. Any opinions on the Park would be much appreciated

I do not know about Myakka State Park, but do know that the State Parks within Florida are very conservative about their length limits.
If they say a certain site can accommodate up to 40 ft. I would feel confident that you can fit in the site with no issues.

You should be fine. We once stayed in FL and it was a smaller 20ft site. But it was HUGE! That 20ft site could have easily had a 36 footer on it.
4 whopping cylinders on Toyota RV's. Talk about great getting good MPG. Also I have a very light foot on the pedal. I followed some MPG advice on Livingpress.com and I now get 22 MPG! Not bad for a home on wheels.

Probably will be ok but call and ask. I went to the website and found this limit (35')
BIG FLATS CAMPGROUND, the largest; is closest to the Upper Myakka Lake, boat ramp, concession store, and tours. Many sites are shaded by huge, old oaks and palms. All sites at Big Flats have water and electricity.
OLD PRAIRIE CAMPGROUND is located on the edge of a hammock of oaks and palms. It is near the cabins, Campfire Circle, Myakka River, picnic areas, and Visitor Center. All sites at Old Prairie have water and electricity. Campgrounds have restrooms with hot showers.
Campground hosts are usually on duty November through April. Rangers conduct weekly programs during the winter and spring. Both campgrounds can be reached by a paved road. Campsites accommodate tents, trailers, or motorized campers up to 35' long.
2005 Monaco Dynasty Diamond IV 42'
04 F450, 6.0 auto, 4:30 rear; BrakeSmart; 50 gal aux.tank, 01 HR Presidential 35CKS, 3 slides, axles flipped; TrailAir Pinbox. pin weight 2760. Total gross TV and 5th: 24,060 lbs.

We host a Myakka and know the park well.
Stay in the new Palmetto Ridge campground. It is the only one that has full service at every site. The sites are also much larger than the other two campggounds, and if it matters, much, much easier to get Sat. TV Signal.
It is a great park and you will enjoy it.
If you need any other info, PM me.

We stayed at the Palmetto Ridge section in Feb. Even though we have a small TT noticed many big rigs there. It is a new section with full hook-ups and some pull throughs. We were there for 4 nights and had a great time hiking with the dogs, Saw a lot of wildlife-wild pigs, turkey, deer and of course gators. Great park. Al C.

Just stayed there with a 40 ft. Stayed in Palmeto Ridge loop, not a problem. Plenty wide and nice and long. Only problem was the sewer hook ups were elevated to high.
