I don't know what to think of this seller. I'm not sure what he is thinking with the daughter comment versus helping me get new tires and be safe. I have to wonder if he would leave those tires on there if he gave it to her. This guy also has more money than he knows what to do with. This guy also has more money than he knows what to do with. He's a farmer with over 400 acres, several shops/garages, another newer class A with matching trailer, just bought a new Cadillac CTS-V, chopper bike, a decked out shop with a big fancy bar, pool tables, etc. The list goes on and on. He's not hurting for money.

Well he should refurbish the coach inside and out (including new tires) while staying with his agreed price of $40,000. If he does not, walk away because the bum is a selfish, greedy, successful farmer unwilling to share his over abundance of wealth with people outside his family. Imagine that.

I never said anything about refurbishing the whole coach. Did I? He is asking $6K over high book and the tires are 8-10 years old. Read the topic of this thread and try again.

I flew out to Oregon on December the 9th. I rented a car and drove to Woodburn to look at the coach. The coach is used and therefore not perfect. There are a couple of drawers in the bedroom that did not close properly, they need the latch replaced. He said he would fix it and I said I'm not concerned about it.

There will always be things to fix on a used RV, and I actually enjoy fixing it myself.

I learned about the aged out tire issue here on rv.net. I have read the posts about what can happen if I blow a front tire. The tires are a big ticket item as well as a safety issue. I have every right to be concerned. If he wants to give it to a family member... who cares? My current setup is all paid for.

This whole process of replacing my current setup with a class A has been stressful for me. I do appreciate everyone's help here.

If you like it, write him a check, get new tires and go have a good time. You're the one making it stressful. Ignore all the negative posts and do what you want

Looks like this deal is "dead in the water" the seller obviously has a price he wants, and the resources to keep his unit until he gets his price and a plan of action in the case he doesn't get his price. If I were the OP I'd put this deal in the "rear view mirror" and head on down the road looking for another deal. Good luck in your search.

On page 4 the OP said the seller would give the RV to his daughter before lowering the price and he was not going to replace the tires. Why is this post still going on? Either buy the RV or do not buy the RV. The seller has made his position really clear.
