don't know where to post this, and am having a hard time finding info online. There is a nascar race in April in Kansas City, and it would work for us to go to it! We have never been to a race, and am interested in taking our th and camping in the middle, but have no clue how it all works or where to find info on it.  (we don't even watch nascar! LOL!)
Our son is set to graduate from basic 4/19 in MO, and we are thinking that it would be possible for us to make this race - it's something the boys have wanted to do, but it's never worked out. Would love to make it happen, but not sure how to go about it...

I don't think you will be able to park in the middle. However there are plenty of camping spots around the edges of the speedway. Order tickets early because they sell out quick.

You will not be able to overnight in the parking lot. You can come early and set up for the day, but you will have to leave for the night. They do have camping in designated areas. There are no hook ups at all. It is a grass field and you will get about a 20' x 40' spot to call home. I have not camped at KC Speedway, but I have at other tracks. In the free camping area, it can be very R-rated and not very kid friendly.

thanks for all the info! we were looking for a spot for the whole weekend, but I'm thinking that it's going to be out of our budget  the sites are for the season, and then we have to purchase an extra 10 tickets, but they only allow 8 per site, so not sure if they would even let us! LOL!
