It's like riding a bike...you can read about how to ride a bike, someone can tell you how to ride a bike and give you advice on bike riding....
but, until you climb on a bike and fall a couple of times...well, you get the picture.

You live in Florida which has one of the best state park systems in the nation. Reservations are made through reserveamerica.com. I camp almost exclusively in the system. I do recommend reservations. Check out my pics link for some good state park ideas. PM me for specific info on anything you see you like. Florida State park website;

Before you buy more than you can carry take a couple overnight trips and see what you need. Of course sewer, water and and electric hook ups. Ask the dealer for a start up kit if you're buying from a dealer. Alot depends on the type of RVing you do (camping, resorts, sightseeing, short term, long term, desert, water, etc.). Most of all enjoy.

This is where Wal-Mart can be your best friend - they are just about everywhere.
As previously posted, make a list of needed items during/after your first weekend trip with trailer. Only buy what is needed, don't over-buy.

bkkalk6,, another good source is etrailer.com and their associated sites. You may want an emergency roadside service plan. There are several, including one from Good Sam. I have had excellent luck with Coach-Net.
Many parts of your RV are RV-specific. Many aren't, and can be had at hardware stores or home centers. You'll figure out which is which as you go along.
Main thing is, get out there and do it!

Learn to use the "search" feature on this forum, eventually you will find an answer to all your questions.
That's what I did for a year before buying.
I was an expert in everything before I ever hitched up for our first outing.

Read through a lot of the threads on this forum, check out the sticky threads at top of each section...they have a lot of good information consolidated into one area. Check out the videos offered. Don't be afraid to click on something that takes you to another place. Researching and learning is a lot of fun.
Ask questions here....lots of great people and lots of great advise available.
For camping, we prefer the State Parks and Corps Parks....a little cheaper than private parks and typically bigger. Don't discount private parks...it depends on what you want to do.

Don't overlook the "sticky" at the top of this section of the forum. It is called "Frequently Asked Questions". Spend a little time reading through that and you'll quickly get 90% of your questions answered. It's a compilation of some of the best posts over the years and covers just about every topic.

Spend a lot of time reading and feel free to ask specific questions.
