Service man just left after replacing the first recalled black box on the coil. He said Norcold told him that the old box was noise sensitive. This is not a recall, just when this first box fails.
Here is what I done to set it off.
I unplugged from the pedestal and started the gen-set, after it started the alarm on the ref. was going off and I was getting a
Li-op code. At first the service man said that what I done didn't cause the box failure but after talking to Norcold they said it could have been. Norcold also stated that the new box has a build in 1 minute timer to keep this from happening again.
Hope this helps.

Norcold had a recall last year on some 1200,1201,1210,1211 models because of posssible fires. Their fix was installing a new high temperature sensor.
They are having trouble with some of the recall sensors when there is no high temperature present, making the ref. inoperable. So they have came up with a newer sensor.

NORCOLDS the greatest for RV. Iam on my 3rd diesel pusher and third 1200 series fridge. They all work great.I love the LPG so when boondocking I dont need extra batterys and inverters and running the gen set 3 hours s day just to charge the batterys for the fridge
I would never be without a Norcold

That is NOT his question. He wants to know what REV letter you had installed. Doug

Sorry, you either misunderstood what Norcold said or the Tech misunderstood. The recall is completely 12 volt operated. Your Transfer/Shore is 120 ac volts. There is no way the instant on shore or the 45 second delay on APU would cause the Recall to false trip. Doug

The model # is RF197 and I had to make the opening about 6 inches in heighth. The width was perfect with no modification. Really happy with install and reliablity of the unit. The biggest problem was getting it into the coach. With the fridge doors off, I had 1/4" of wiggle room through the coach door.

I suspect that by noise sensitive he meant RF (Radio Frequency) noise, or radio frequency interference (RFI) many electrical and electronic devices such as generators produce such noise which can interfere with the operation of electronic devices. The generator could have caused the problem but the fault is in the device not being shielded.
