Hi, The wife and I decided that the space in our closet (its beside the fridge on our starcraft) would be better used as shelves or maybe drawers. Looking to get ideas from other members.
Can I assume there is some kind of frame I can screw the shelving supports to?

We bought this shelf system at Lowes Hardware. We bought an 8' piece of wire shelving and had them cut it into 2' lengths. The rear supports go from the floor of the closet to the top and hook into a cross piece that goes across the top. Screw the top piece (try to find one stud at least) (we also used Industrial strength velcro the entire width of the cross piece and the up and down supports plus screwed them into the wall. You can put the little tips on the ends of the shelves so they don't scratch you.
We have used this system for every closet we have had in every RV.

Thanks! Is there any problem with the supports coming off the tracks?

Our last motorhome had a similar closet situation. We purchased a Rubbermaid type of drawer system and it fit perfectly. No drilling holes etc. Also no dust since the drawers were enclosed in the unit. We removed it before trading our rig and we now use it at home.

I did the same thing, and added one of those spring loaded, adjustable shower rods vertically in the closet to keep all the drawers in place when traveling. Works for me. Seems like a lot of RVs have lots of doors, but not enough drawers.
Retired and visiting as much of this beautiful country as I can.

We took a coat closet near the entry door and converted it to a small appliance closet. I added 1/2 inch X 3 strips of wood from floor to ceiling and screwed them into the walls of the closet. I attached the metal shelving brackets (the kind with the clips to hold the shelfs) to these strips of wood using 3/4 inch long wood screws.
Snapped in the clips and then cut MDF shelves to fit. We were able to store over 12 appliances in the closet. My DW is a gourmet cook so she like to have all of the latest gadgets to cook with.

I have done that to every closet and wardrobe in our trailer.
For the shelf brackets I just use strips of 3/4" x 3/4" pine.
I drill a couple of holes in each, (on the deep ones, I use three holes. then I use screws so small that they will only penetrate the flimey paneling, but not go through it. I coat the side of the bracket with glue, and then the screws are just to act as clamps untoil the glue hardens.
On some I have used Elmers wood glue, and others I have used Gorilla Glue. then I just make the shelves up from pine boards.
I did this on our last trailer which we had for seven years, and now on our present one which we have had for three years.
Each trailer has been used for snow birding, four months every winter, and then for various trips in the summer.
Total cost was zip, since I had all the materials around my shop.

Sorry, I don't have a picture. I just measured the closet and purchased the tallest system that would fit. I think it was a 4-drawer unit. I purchased it at Lowe's but Walmart might have the same thing cheaper. Sometimes laziness pays off!
