Well, DH and I went out at looked at dullys (?sp). What an impressive truck. With all the safety features that are built into them, it sure would give us peace of mind carrying a larger TC. Now we just have figure out how important IS eating.

Anyway, it will all depend on the deal we can get for his '06 Dodge manual 6 speed SLT. It's in pristine condition and only has 41k miles. We'll see how it plays out. In our area dullys are very rare.

I have had 3 Dodge duallies and love them. Never had a six speed manual tranny, so I can't give you any real data about the transmission. I can say the Cummins is a great engine.

Love my '12 DRW. Also loved my '03 SRW. You would be better off selling your truck on your own if possible.

Good luck. I'm sure you would love the new RAM.

You didn't read the press from GM? The only truck brands are Ford and GM.

On another note, it would probably be worth traveling for the truck if there are only a few in your area. I just bought a '07 Mustang with 16K miles on it for several under KBB or NADA. It was in pristine condition, and never wrecked. I found it because I was doing a very general search.

I could have easily paid thousands more for a lessor vehicle. Don't depend on the search engines to be accurate for the websites. Search using the minimum in specifics and filter the results on your own.

Those 06 Dodges seem to move fast from dealers lots.

Traded mine in on the Ford dually I have now and it sold off the Ford lot here in South Dakota in just a few days.

Folks who bought it actually contacted me via Facebook asking about the truck. They drove out from Ohio to South Dakota to get this one.

Mine also was an 06 dually Cummins 5.9L, 4 X 4, 6 speed manual with about 41,000 miles on it.

Cherry in other words.

Now, with all the 6.7L Ford fiasco rumors floating around, boy am I having second, third, fourth, fifth thoughts.

Just to clarify, a dually has dual tires. A dully wouldn't be very sharp.

The Mad Norsky, I can't seem to find all of the 6.7 fiasco's maybe you can give a hint about where you found "all" of them.

Take nothing less than top dollar for a low mileage, 5.9L CTD with a manual transmission. Dave Smith Motors in Kellogg, ID has a waiting list of customers with cash for such a beast. I know, I was one of them but ended up going with the new body style in 2010 for the extra cab space. That thing will be sold before it hits the dealers lot and don't let anyone tell you different.

Heck, give DSM a call and what kind of deal they can work you on a new dually. Some folks find it cheaper to buy from them, drive up and home and still save money. Food for thought, at least you'll have some good numbers to haggle your local dealer with.

Sent you a private message. Nothing good to be gained from hijacking a thread.
