I have been looking at the Wi-Ex zBoost YX545 Cellular Phone Signal Booster, which appears to have real good reviews. I will also talk to the 3G store Monday about the Wilson, similar to the zBoost. I do not want a cradle type, as we want one to use for both the phones and the internet.

Don't overlook the Maximum Signal gear. There's a good review along with a $50 off deal here.

I just installed an older version of the Wilson 801247 Desk Top Dual Band Cell Phone Booster (non-adjustable gain) at my house. The newer models have adjustable gain. It works great.

Do your homework before assuming that a unit designed for a house will solve your problem in a motorhome as there are minimum spacing distances between the external antenna and the indoor unit. If you're able to place the external antenna on a pole away from the motorhome, it will probably work just fine. The adjustable gain models allow you to fine tune the gain to eliminate feedback if you can't get the minimum spacing between the external antenna and the indoor unit.

If you're going to be in a fixed location, a directional external antenna will be better.

Good luck

Well, I talked to the 3G store yesterday and was not pleased with their options(mucho bucks)plus very directional unless I wanted to buy the "optional" omnidirectional antennas. Everything else I looked at was big dollars, so decided to go with the Wi-Ex system. It is a newer model than the one we used last year and supposedly better with higher gain. The one we had last year worked in a no bar area, so we feel this one will suffice, for a reasonable price. It will be here tomorrow.
